MY SMOKEY TALE OF WOE

This is gonna be long (just a friendly warning), but may be worth reading:

So, last week I sold a recipe box to a lovely girl in NYC. It is a cute little box that holds index cards. I painted it and decopaged it and all sorts of adoreable things. I don't hear from her for a few days (post office is soooo slow, I mean, really, I am shipping from Long Island to NYC - how long could it possibly take) then, I get the email. "I was so excited to receive the package until I opened the box an…

Week3 - Question 3

The pathetic thing is that I am only on week 3 (actually a couple of days into week 3) and have already run out of questions!!!! So, today I am wondering, how do you deal with stress? Do you craft, eat, excercise, drink?!?! Last night when I got home from work and was in a particularly foul mood, after I was almost attacked walking through the door to feed my husband who was RAVENOUS, I went up into my craft room and did some yoga. Now I absolutely cannot meditate or anything like that. I cannot… Continue

Week 2 - Question 2

wow, has it been a week already?!?!? Maybe this weekly question thing is a bad idea (forced creativity is rough). But I think I got one: When and where do you get your inspiration (most times anyway)??

For me, I usually get inspired just when I am going to sleep. It is almost inevitable. Usually I am working on some idea, and it is an O.K. idea. Then, when I get into bed, and it is waaaay to late to actually work on anything, inspiration strikes!!! It is actually really annoying. I…

Week 1 - Question 1

I really just don't know what to write about in a blog. I am not real comfortable talking about myself and trying to promote myself. So I thought it would be fun to just post some kind of question every week and hope others join in and offer their opinions. So here we go, week 1 question1:

Do you design based on your likes/dislikes or what you think will sell?

Today on Etsy I was reading a question in a forum asking opinions of potential buyers. The seller was looking to take hi…

Thank you so much for the lovely comment! I love to knit, and have found that you can actually do so much with felting. When combining colors, you never know quite how they are going to turn out. I love the fabrics that you use - they are so rich and vibrant!
