I attended a wool festival in Yellow Springs, OH with some of the women of my family. What a GREAT experience! I took the three felted critters I have and the vendors loved them. It was quite inspiring. What they said is that they can tell that I spend more time on my creations than a lot of other felters because of their density and detail. I knew that.... :)

To be quite honest with you I don't even know what kind of wool I use normally. It's always the same type from the same place and it's always labled "roving". Recentlly though I was handed alpaca, and angora. The angora does not felt nice at all and thus my question about the alpaca.
Have you felted with alpaca wool yet? I'm afraid to try it, I keep thinking it won't stay together well.
