What are French Folds, you ask? Look above! They're where the unbound edge is folded. Why is this craze-worthy? Allow me to use a list: * Let's say you want to use staples or stitch something to a journal page....

I've been feeling a little discouraged lately. About two weeks ago, I put prints of popular pieces (those favored on Flickr) and a few handmade journals with found papers, up on Etsy. And I have yet to sell a single thing. In fact, all I've sold there is copies of my 'zine.

Why? Is there a reason I simply can't sell anything? This is the second time I've put up a shop full of items there; the first failed and I took everything down...which wasn't hard since most of the items had gone i… Continue

thank you!

*G* Here's my most recent card design; I didn't have any thank you cards and thought that was silly. I sketched this design out last night in my Moleskine and played with it in photoshop. I might make a set of these available on Etsy, as I have BOXES of greeting card paper that needs to be put to good use.

Thoughts? Improvements?… Continue

New Journals!

Searching for interesting old books was a bust; the few I DID find, the guy wanted to charge me WAAAAY too much! So, I came home and brainstormed and came up with vintage fabric covers… Continue

a day away!

How exciting, meeting other like-minded people! *G*

Today, I'm running to thrift shops to find covers for some new hand-made journals and drooling over stationary at a new shop I found. ;)

I really like your "When God closes a door" print. It has been marked as a favorite for a day when I haven't already spent a lot of money. Hopefully that day will come soon!

Hi Kira, (by the way my sisters name is also Kira!)
Thanks for you comment! I am totally into rubber stamping, thus, most of my cards are stamped. I am not learning how to make my own designs and printing them on a printer I have at home. I have a basic inkjet color printer. It works great for now but I know I'll need something better sooner or later. As far as outsourcing, that's really up to you. If you have the volume to support it then great! Less work for you!
