Profile

Location:
Washington, DC/NoVa
About Me:
I'm pretty much hard-wired to make stuff all day, but I have to make a living and I do that by playing and teaching the violin. I work with anything that is made of or can be manipulated with fiber.
Gender:
Gal
I am a/an:
Independent Artist/Designer
(Designers only) I create:
Clothing and accessories made from recycled vintage clothes, along with handknitted freeform wearables.
Website:

Website #2:

Favorite Designers/Artists:
Anyone who designs something that can only be made once. All Vera Bradley products should be vaporized immediately !!!
Favorite Music/Musicians:
I'm a professional violinist, and specialize in baroque music, so I have favorites from that era. My non-classical interests are centered around 70's progressive rock artists (my generation) such as early Genesis, Yes, Steve Hackett, Happy the Man, Camel and more recently, world music. I like to participate in the experience, so I have sung in a Bulgarian women's chorus (http://slaveya.org ), a Finnish folk choir, and now I'm learning Brazilian percussion (http://batalawashington.com ).
Favorite TV Show & Movies:
Will forever love retro TV such as I Love Lucy, the Dick van Dyke Show, Andy Griffith, Honeymooners-could watch those forever. My husband and I are some serious Conan fans, though, and my dream is to take a desk drive with Conan.
