About Me:
I love people, music, guitars, kids, animals...I am working on me, always hoping to grow spiritually and as a person in general. I try to balance everything, but sometimes fail. I love learning, but sometimes the hard way. I love making people happy and seeing someone succeed in whatever they do, as long as it's not a mean thing, of course.

Email me at gbt1@aol.com!! Please join etsy and visit my shop at www.gaily.etsy.com. I'm trying to get back on my feet (business-wise) after Hurricane Ike. The jewelry I was selling at Hendley Market on the strand in Galveston, I suppose, is all lost. I'm sad about that, so am trying to make it on Etsy until Hendley Market opens again. It could be months! Hendley Market had a 8-9 foot water surge line, so all was lost in the shop.

Hurricane Ike hurt Queen Matilde's Jewelry

Anyway, I'm trying to get some things made to replace all lost jewelry which I'm afraid I will never recover, even through insurance. I am sad, but I will quickly make more! Never give up. I'm posting a photo or two of the damage Hurricane Ike did to Hendley Market in Galveston. So m… Continue

It's been a while...but don't stop visiting my shop! You'll get a 30% discount...promise.

Hi you guys... Just stopped in to see that I haven't posted to this blog in half a year. I've been busy, what can I say. I miss visiting indiepublic sites and thought I would get caught up. I've been adding more jewelry to my gaily.etsy.com site (aka: Queen Matilde's Jewelry). DO go visit and if you mention indiepublic in a convo, and remind me that I told you I'd give y… Continue

Snowgifts...

Kate (right) and her cousin Meg

Christmas 2007 was wonderful. This is a glimpse of the invisible gifts I was talking about. Good thing it was so cold, these gifts showed up and fell in tiny frosty pieces all over our hair and eyelashes. I know many of you…

I'm thinking...

about selling my jewelry exclusively in Galveston and Houston. I'm not sure I have enough time to sell online, but guess I'll just wait and see. It does take a chunk out of the day and I'd rather spend my day relaxing with the fam when I get home from work...

Remember to stop by Hendley Market when you're in Galveston this week! :) 2010 Strand (see pix below)

Hey Gail - As far as consignment goes, I know people personally who enjoy it and have been successful at it. Maybe you will be, too! :)

And sometimes I'm tired by the time I get here, too. What I do is just copy a post from my blog, then repost it here. Lazy? Absolutely! :) But still effective, I think.
