life imitates art

wouldn't it be grand if we could will things to happen? perhaps the fact that we can't go about zapping things into being is the best favor we have really. i would have sold everything i've ever made by this point which seems wonderful but there would be a lot of average stuff out there with my name on it! i like that i have to continually tweak things until i like it enough to have my name on it. sometimes i don't realize it needs refinement. that comes from my husband or friends giving me feed… Continue

how crazy is that?

i made it into a treasury! yay! http://www.etsy.com/treasury_list.php?room_id=14509 . a complete surprise to me and i am cracking up because i forgot about the last blog i did here! i am very happy and feel like doing art out the wazoo right now. our friends (husband and wife) came up friday to spend the night to get an early start building ginormous frames (8' x 5'--three of them!) for her upcoming show (they are both artists and art professors), they built all day satuarday while i was shopp… Continue

treasures and a treasury

i would love to be in a treasury soon! i've been in one and it was a lot of fun. i do appreciate that there is a no self-promotion clause in the treasury, i think that is fair and makes for honest etsy-ians. i love putting together treasuries too. soit's been almost a week since i've beaded! i need to get out my box-o-treasures and start up again. it's october already, how'd that happen? it's getting colder at night now and i think we will be bringing in the cat and dog soon. also, my plants wil… Continue

depression is looking in the past, anxiety is looking to the future. live in the present

so this is what i was doing last year at this time, painting a mural of this mountain range on a cafeteria wall. i also flew out to ohio to look for houses. it was an exciting time with adventure around the corner. so, now we are in ohio, it's been nearly a year and my life in… Continue

necklaces, guilt, and a party!

i made three more necklaces last night. it felt good to work on something because i haven't been able to do much housework or anything for that matter. if i feel good and move around and do things, i start really hurting. as i was making the necklaces i kept thinking, "how can i be doing this, i couldn't make dinner, but i can do this?" so the guilt was creeping in. oh, this thing of pain. like pain ever makes sense. like i've ever made sense, i jest. i am loving this fall weather. we are planni… Continue

Thanks! I think you can include one of your item to your own treasury.
I saw many have done it.

LOL I would love to own a little farm land, but I wouldn't know what to do with it either. I'm learning though.:)

Do you use the poster sketch? http://www.etsy.com/poster_sketch.php
If not, its a tool where you can organize your potential treasury items and have them ready when space opens up.
