I have been making handcrafted wire jewelry since 1984. For the first two years it was a beloved hobby, then I went "professional" in 1986. Nearly every weekend for more than six years I was displaying and selling my work at art and craft shows around Florida and across the United States. Then in 1992 I took a deep breath and opened a little retail shop in historic Cocoa Village, Florida. In addition to being in my shop six days a week, I still do three or four shows a year, but only locally these days, since I am now married and have an eight-year-old son.
My jewelry is made of the finest quality materials available. I hand-select each stone, and using small jewelry tools, my hands, and my sometimes-overactive imagination, I lovingly sculpt each one into a piece of unique wearable art. After all these years, I still can't wait to get to it every day! I don't get up and go to work in the morning--I get up and go play!
I have a wide range of musical interests, with "easy listening" , instrumental jazz, New Age and soft rock being my favorites. I like:
Journey (Steve Perry's voice just curls my toes!)
Barbra Streisand
Celine Dion
Marc Anthony
Enrique Iglesias
Elton John
and I have a significant collection of instrumental New Age CDs that I like to have in the background when I'm working. Stuff like Yanni and Enya.
Favorite TV Show & Movies:
TV:
I love all the crime-solving shows like NCIS, Criminal Minds, and all the CSIs. I also watch Lost and Survivor.
And then there's my extensive DVD Boxed Set collection of old TV shows:
Bonanza
The Big Valley
The Wild, Wild West
Emergency
Simon and Simon
S.W.A.T.
Tour of Duty
Riptide
Miami Vice
MacGyver
The West Wing
all the Star Treks
Movies:
The Lord of the Rings trilogy would be my all-time favorite, but I subscribe to Netfilx and watch a wide range of movies from comedy to documentary.
(Can you tell I spend a lot of time in front of the TV in-between customers in my shop? Hee.)
