Hot Child in the City

Many of you have heard, I'm sure, about the fiery inferno that we're living in here in San Diego. It really is a terrible site. There are so many people that have lost their homes today, that it's really unimaginable. We can only pray that the few people that have been hurt or died, are the only injuries we have. The casualty of losing everything in your life is a big enough price to pay. I can't even imagine.

I live here in San Diego. This fire is definitely reminiscient of 4 years ag…

When can a frog also be a goddess?

Well, in my world, there's such things! I'm excited to finally (!) put up pictures of my latest creation in the world of dolls: the 'Frogess'. Check out my slide show or my new pictures to see her. I have to take more pics - especially of her back and the detail but my camera battery went out and had to re-charge!!! Figures. I also put up a couple other jewelry pieces.

More will come soon!

FALLING

October 19th and fall is here then gone, then here again. San Diego weather can't make up it's mind. The weatherman says sunny and mild, but my toes are cold. Toes are a much better predictor of the temperature.

I have quite a few new things to post, I just hate the process of taking the pictures, editing, cropping, posting, making cute little comments about every detail. (I'm whining again).

My sister just left Wednesday after a 7 day visit. It's like the 'let down' time. I dig…

Hey there it was good to hear from you. And you will not believe it I was thinking of you just Saturday because I was getting a cool celtic cross out of the kiln - I always think about you with crosses. Hi Kelly,
Thanks! I did go to the community sculpture event, and it was great! I'm actually working on an article about it, so stay tuned. The artist is even reviewing it and adding his 2 cents. He had a photographer and a videographer there to document it and is working on his own documentation as we speak. I will post the links that I know of on my blog - right now!

Thank you for your kind words, I appreciate them very much. I re-read the Mary Oliver poem, and it brought back another wonderful childhood memory of my mother taking me by the hand as a small child and walking me outside to the garden. She picked a big red ripe tomato off of the vine, warm from the sun, and told me to bite into it. I still remember the explosion of taste buds in my mouth, and have forever since thought of it as what summer tastes like.
