The promise of another day!

It is another day, and I for one am going to run with it! I know that my last two posts have been rather dim, but this weekend I connected with some really positive people and that is what it takes. When we build each other up it is easy to survive the slow times. I had a conversation with three people, and they were so positive, and uplifting. I think that for the next week, I am going to make a commitment to find one new person each day to pass along this feeling. The main sales season is just… Continue

The Daily Grind.

I am not sure that Etsy and I are going to make it. I have had yet another bad day of forums. I had talked in my previous post about becoming more active in the forums. That is not going to work for me. I love the feeling of Etsy, but a lot of the sellers are catty. I have made many improvements and changes to my site and I am thankful for the input that I have received. Every time I go into the forums, I run onto a person that proclaims that my products are horrible and unworthy of any attentio… Continue

Finally Friday!

Well to bad that I have to work the weekend. I do love my job, so it is fine. I do hope that I can replace my current job with my creative endeavors. I have tried an experiment this week, I stopped blogging, and going to the forums, and anything else that I was doing. I was interested in whether this work helped my site. It does. My visits are down, my hearts are down, and I don't have any new friends. So for anyone out there that doubts the effect of regular blog entries an such doubt no more.… Continue

Another beautiful day!

It is a very nice, although hot day. I made it through another weekend with still more views and hearts on my etsy site, enchantedland.etsy.com. Everyone says that sales will come, so I am just working to build up my stock and waiting. I am still investigating different marketing plans, and I ran onto one that is called Project Wonderful. Who knows I might try this one, I am not sure how effective it is, but I signed up to get the information. I have also began uploading more files to Singular a… Continue

It is Sunday and the beginning of another creative week!

On Sunday I always try to reflect on the past weeks progress. As an artist, or any business person, I am am usually apt to gauge my success based on sales. That is not always the best gauge. Success can be reflected in number of hits at your site. It can also be reflected in the number of comments to a blog entry. In truth, a successful business is the result of many different parts coming together in unity. There are many parts of a business that have be tended to, success comes not only from q… Continue

Just saw your message on my profile. I'd be very interested in having them in the gift shop. The only problem I worry about the number you might want, the necklaces do take a while to make. Send me an email at NoadiArt@gmail.com to talk about it more.

I just read your Blog about Etsy. I am new to Etsy . Catty peeps are all over the art scene and not worth your thoughts. We all have our own place as artist. And I think yours is worth it .

Wow, George, I've never seen anything like your creations. I love the expressions on their faces, especially the green one and the one with the lace ruff. You might try a blog to promote your work. I like blogspot. It's easy and free but there are others that are good too. And the MySpace suggestion is a good one, especially if your customer base includes younger people. I finally started copying my blogspot blog to myspace because the younger members of my family prefered to keep up with it there.

It is another day and I still have not had any sales. I just found 'stumble it' the button in the lower post. It is a great way to recommend sites for others to view. I have recommended several of my friends to it, hopefully they will do the same for me. Well it is a beautiful day and I ned to recharge my creative batteries, so I am going to spend the day away from the computer! Talk to you later.
