So, It has been nearly a year since I last posted on here. So much has happened. My husband and I bought a new house in the Akron, Ohio area and I have had the great fortune to build a fabulous new studio. It is wonderful. I have two classrooms and an office now. I love it. The first of my two Art Jewelry Magazine articles has been published and is now on its way to readers all over the world. The first article is my Winter Lily piece. The article ended up being 9 pages long. The second article… Continue

Things have been so insane for me. I don't think I have even made it to my Indie page for over 2 weeks. Luckily, I think I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I have a show this weekend, my first, and another small one next week. After that I just have my classes that I am teaching and the ones I am taking. Hopefully I can start to relax a bit more after this. I just want to sleep. I miss sleeping. ;)
I have been up to a lot lately. You can check out my pictures to see all of my… Continue

Today was such a good one. I started the morning off by receiving a sale on my Etsy site. YAY! That was great in and of itself. Particularly since I have had a hard time feeling good about Etsy since my last little sting. I must say that Etsy was very good about the whole thing and returned all of their fees that had been charged.
Today at noon, I had 3 ladies over to my house to take a private lesson on wire wrapped pendants. It was a lot of fun. At least I thought it was. I hope they… Continue

I sold a piece off of my Etsy site about a week and a half ago. Of course I was ecstatic when it happened, who wouldn't be? Well, yesterday I wasn't quite so ecstatic anymore. It turns out the purchase was made with a stolen PayPal account. :( I had already shipped the item and everything. Why are people like this? I just don't understand them.
Well, I hope the person who duped me enjoys my beautiful necklace. They obviously needed it more than I do.
As I was talking with a fri… Continue

I have had quite the busy weekend. I have the possibility of teaching some classes in the area and I am working hard at getting some samples put together. The classes I am proposing are basic soldering, chain making, and bezel setting. I will also put together a few items for cold connecting. I still need to come up with some more designs for that. Still, the prospect of teaching is an exciting one for me. I hope it works out.
Here are some of my new pieces.
Hammered sterling silver… Continue

GREETINGS FROM ARGENTINA
I'm a marine biologist and I specialize in fish larvae. I contributed several chapters in a huge 2 volume set on the identification of larvae of fish from the Western Atlantic.
This is the most shows I've put on my plate in a season. I hope it doesn't kill me!
Thanks for friending me. I'm delighted! I'm so impressed that you got work in a book. You must be so excited! Yay!
I have work in a book but it's about fish larvae! Hehe.
