Gardening To-Do List for November

‘November’ by Cape Cod Cyclist on flickr I don’t know about you, but as a beginner vegetable gardener, I find it quite tricky to work out what I should be doing and when.  To help me, I have been doing a little reading around and it seems that the main jobs for November are clearing out the garden [...]

7 Steps to Shopping Greener: Buy Fair Trade

What is Fair Trade? The fair trade movement aims to make international trade more equitable and sustainable by empowering producers in developing countries and ensuring that they get paid a fair wage.  The idea is that people in developing countries should not be exploited to satisfy the consumer wants of people in developed countries.  Companies who [...]

Blog Action Day: Poverty and The Environment

Today (what’s left of it) is Blog Action Day, when bloggers unite to write about and raise awareness of a global issue, and this year’s theme is Poverty.  This blog is mostly about all things green, so I’m going to write a little bit about poverty and the environment. So what do poverty and the environment [...]

Top sites for armchair activists

Slow Sunday - Bake Bread to Save the Planet

Resurgence Slow Sunday (www.resurgence.org) is a campaign from readers and supporters of the international environmental magazine Resurgence. The aim is to encourage people to take part in small acts of defiance for the environment within their own communities.   In our recent past, Sunday was a day of rest – a day of reflection. We aim to [...]

My blog

Hi, I'm Zoe and I make jewellery from recycled and reclaimed materials. This means that everything I make is both eco-friendly and completely unique. I have recently set up a blog, where I write about the materials I have found and my new creations, as well as the experiences of trying to promote my blog and etsy shop (which is like a full time job itself!). You can read this at http://rekindled.wordpress.com. On my blog you will also find a link to… Continue

Yup you totally fit (eg I just ran a contest about recycled items and I love jewellery with buttons in it). Here's how it works. You must post at least 3 times during the week but you can post more if you'd like. One post can be a full on promotion for you and your goods - carte blanche. Another post MUST be about a crafter from my flickr group set up to find people to feature at the blog (I'll invite you to it and you can see who has been featured already and pick your favourite to use in your post). The final post can be about anything crafty you like but can not be another post entirely promoting your endeavours.

In return for helping me out I will add your link to the blogs sidebar permenenantly. Also you can have your etsy mini displayed at the bottom of the blog while you're guest blogger and then until we have a new featured crafter at the blog. You can also mention (eg a sentence or a quick shop link) what you've been up to craft wise in each post you make.

Thanks so much for agreeing to help out. I'm about to set up my first guest blogger to be able to post so once I've worked out how to sort that out I'll e-mail you as well, along with precise dates.

Hello saw your post on my guest blogger thread. I know you said you're away the begining of April and sparroworiginal is going to help me out with the first spot but I have a second spot for the last week of April when I'll be in Italy. If you're interested let me know.

I love that you try to use recycled items for your pieces. I am also trying to incorporate that into our work.
