- About Me:
- Each bead or pendant is handformed. Beads are handformed completely; pendants usually start from a cut out shape. The clay is then fired to almost 2000 degrees.
After "bisque" firing, each piece is carefully decorated and glazed. I impatiently wait for them to dry. They are carefully positioned in my tiny kiln (soon to be upgraded) and fired again.
The firing take anywhere from 5 to 8 hours! Then the kiln must cool down. This is THE most difficult part of the process...due to my impatience. I have been known to try and yank something out at around 700 degrees. (I have the burn scars to prove it :) )
The pieces are either listed as is or made into a fantastic piece of wearable art!
