- I'm a stay-at-home mom who's been sewing and crafting for most of my life. I love to give unique, one-of-a-kind gifts that really speak to the recipient's personality and interests. For years I've given custom quilts, blankets and other goodies to my pregnant friends and their new babies, and for years I've been told "You should sell these!". So, here I am!
I love quirky, colorful, ecclectic and funky fabrics that have a subtle (or not so subtle) sense of humor and make me smile. So, my goal is to find those prints and use them to create unique baby goodies. I like to tell people that you won't find any pastel teddy bears on my designs - just bright, colorful, sophisticated fabrics that you wouldn't find at a mass-market store like "Babies-R-Us".
I also love to use cotton fabrics because, as a mom, I know that you can wash the heck out of it to get it clean and it just gets softer and softer. Plus, I love the way it breathes - I can't imagine swaddling a baby in synthetic fleece!
I handmake everything I sell and I welcome inquiries regarding custom work.

Groovy Baby Now Showing At Willow

Unbelievable! No Tag, no Chase...
I just read today in the Denver Post that a school principal in Colorado Springs has banned "Tag" and "Chase" on the playground. Hello? The reason she gave was that there had been too much rough play in the first two weeks of school - so, no more!
As the mom of a pre-schooler and second-grader, I find that absolutely ludicrous! First of all, if there's rough play, isn't that a perfect opportunity to TEACH THE KIDS about how we treat our peers and what is considered acceptable behavior?…
