If

If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you; If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too: If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies, Or being hated don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise; If you can dream---and not make dreams your master; If you can think---and not make thoughts your aim, If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster… Continue

Dancing Ninja

Another ninja story...

When they came for me, I was ready. Truth be told, I've been ready for two months. I had carefully planned for this day. I woke early in anticipation. Before the Earth spun the Sun into view. Fully dressed and perched atop the roof of my apartment building, I watched the Sun explode its brilliance from horizon's edge. I silently inv…

Hope is the thing with feathers

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all,

And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.

I've heard it in the chillest land,
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.

X-mas brat

Story time:

I was out on some errands this weekend, and my travels took me all over town. It was a very hectic afternoon. I had to run to the mall, the book store, BC Surf and Sport, and finally Target. It was not a real enjoyable experience. Until I got to Target, that is.

Upon arriving at Target, I was kinda in a bad mood. Truth be told, I was frustrated to high heaven. Between the holiday shoppers, bad traffic, and the terrible headache I had, I was ready to just lay down an… Continue

BBQ Ninja

Another Ninja Story...

This story is to prove that ninja skills can be used for good. Or at least, a good time. I was invited to a BBQ, way out west in the city of Weston. Weston is a rich city and the homes look accordingly. Big houses with screened-in swimming pools and just an all around lovely place.

Anyways, there was about a dozen of us friends hanging out poolside. Drinking, eating, and having lotsa laughs. Horseshoes, skippin' stones across the backyard canal, a… Continue

Just let go...

Don't cling to anything and don't reject anything. Let come what comes, and accomodate yourself to that, whatever it is. If good mental images arise, that is fine. If bad mental images arise, that is fine, too. Look on all of it as equal, and make yourself comfortable with whatever happens. Don't fight with what you experience, just observe it all mindfully. Daily Meditation

By him who speaks only to help beings,
It was said that all beings
Have arisen from the conception of I
And are enveloped with the conception of mine.

Pondering the Wandering...

Pondering the Wandering In my solitude, I dream of you Your silent smile touches ... a caress My thoughts easily drifting, Through mountains of emotion, they're sifting Wrapped in that lovely glow, I dress Though it is wet, I smile Wondering all the while Which thoughts I might ponder next The wind airs your whisperin' voice Ticklin' my hairs, my skin ... its choice Enraptured I wave the… Continue

I love your name, Thunderfoot. Ah yes, the happy little dancing bear. Thanks for taking a gander at my menagerie. I wish you a fantastic New Year, may your joy be 'Widespread.' Peace. May the dance be in your heart.

Just got the second message! Love the Fudge the Budgie story! Yeah, I often comb feathers out of my hair, not sure if they're mine or AsaMina and Worthington's or not anymore :-) Although, I grew up with a food chain, Siberian Husky, cat, budgie. The Husky, Pooka, wanted to eat the cat. The budgie, Keetsie, wanted to eat the cat. The cat, Mukluk hid in the basement. Yeah, never ending supply of ideas for stories. I've also been told I've got a rather odd way of looking at things. Car rusts, turn it into a Holstien, tah-dah, no rust! I have been writing since before I could either read or write. My Grandmother and I used to spend hours in front of her antique typewriter writing story after story. I still have that typewriter and it does still work. I get a lot of inspiration from there, too. I also just read your Brats story. Love it! That's what I do with Elsie, my cow car. I help others. Not quite so much since I've been in Arkansas, but quite a bit in NH. I take her to charity events to draw attention (strange a cow with mags would draw so much attention, but she does) and bring in more people. She's double donations several times. Just my way of giving back. And, yeah, serious choco-haulic. Oh, like the 'yarn' ***giggle***
