Hey everyone. I just heard about Indipublic and wanted to check it out. I went from browsing to signing up in record time. My page will be built up slowly, but I'm having fun already. If you'd like to check out my craft blog, it's the first link. My food blog is the second. Otherwise, I'm a college student with limited time, resources, and energy, but boundless ideas. I'll see if I can make it work. I may be a little shy, but I'm very friendly so don't be afraid to contact me.

Glad to hear you have found a way to use those scraps. If we all recycle in our own little way we can help to eliminate as much waste as possible.
As a first grade teacher in a low income area, my school district can not afford many of the craft/art supplies we primary teachers need. Most of their resources are spent on text books etc. As a result, I am constantly looking for stuff to recycle.
My kids really benefit from having activities that are very multisensory and they enjoy participating in art activities that take them beyond the text book.
Thanks for your comment and please continue recycling. ;)
loved reading your blog about eating. i love eating, cooking not so much.
To answer your question, the cabs are seperate, strung on a cord for the picture. However, I am planning a similar necklace for a similar affect with spacers.
Thanks for the friend add!
And yes, it's such a release to finger paint. My work can get challenging (fine details and my fingers are not easy bedfellows), but when I do abstract expressionist styled work with liquid acrylics, watch out! Paint flying everywhere!
Be sure to use non-toxic paints and/or protect yourself with latex or nitrile gloves.
Happy finger painting!
Take care,
I.
