My New Piece

I love love love this piece, and also love it even more because it was one of those rare pieces that was thought of, on a piece of paper and finished in an hour. He's just incredibly cute and a bit of a new venture for me. He's also available in my Etsy shop.

My New Shoes

Just got to show you my new shoes - I went to my local market today to treat myself to some new girly things - silver earrings, a bracelet, a necklace, a silk jewelry box - and while I was there I stumbled upon these amazing handpainted shoes. Had to buy them of course, and will be going back next week for a different design. Co…

I Got Accepted on Trunkt

There's a website called Trunkt. It's a juried website which means you apply to be accepted but if they don't like your artwork you're turned down. Well, I applied and I got accepted. You could have knocked me over with a feather! :-)

Fabletoo Launches New Website

I set up my new website today thru godaddy.com. Such an easy thing to do - the whole site was set up within an hour and a half of signing up. It still needs things added, but it is up and running and, even though I say it myself, it looks very cute!

I'll be using it to promote my artwork and also to add som…

I'm Buying Chinese Products

This is the Hotong area of Beijing, from the China Today website.
I'm so freakin' sick of this dirty campaign the US has started against China and Chinese products. The US can't compete honorably, so instead they've deci…

Great Corporate Class Last Night

This was my corporate class last night right after their exam. I'm the one who is not Asian, wearing a pink shirt :-)

I teach English two nights a week at a company in Bangkok. It's a great gig. Good money, nice boss, and excellent students who, not only speak great English, but are very funny…

Prints are In

I finally got prints of some of my work up in my etsy shop and I'm incredibly excited.

I found a fabulous printer in Bangkok that has reasonable prices but beautiful quality prints and I went down yesterday to put in my order. Imagine my surprise when, from walking in to receiving the finished prints, was less than an hour!

I had copies of 3 pieces done, and will be going down towards the end of the week to get copies of 3 more pieces to get up on etsy.

Funny thing, now I…

I See Why 99% of Etsyians Won't Touch Etsy's Forum With a Ten Foot Pole :)

Just got attacked for the second time in three days on Etsy forums. All I did was start a topic asking why some artists charge $3 or $4 for a painting, (I was kinda interested to see what people thought and what artists who charged that low would say). But of course by page 3 of the topic I'm being accused of 'shaming other artists'.

Etsy forums really is one of the nastiest places on the net lately. Anyway, won't be making that mistake again. No amount of marketing my etsy shop is wor…

Teaching in Thailand

Last night I taught my twice weekly English class to a group of students at a bank here in Bangkok. It's an unbelievably good class. Their English is amazing, they understand almost everything I say, they participate in everything, they're funny, they laugh all the time and it's basically just like hanging out with your friends. And the money I make is great!

On the other hand, I taught Thai kids for 3 years before this and that was FRUSTRATING. Tha…

saw your avatar over on Land of Etsy and just had to check your art out cause I LOVE ELEPHANTS!! And just went over to your Etsy shop and I'm in love!! I'm moving into my own place (currently living with brother) in a couple of weeks so I just may treat myself in a month or so. Have you by chance ever been to Kenya? I plan on moving to Europe in 3 or so years and want to visit Kenya and the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.
