Hi Alison,

I'm happy to be your friend! Your comment about the softness of the metal is great because that's what I was after. Shiny is nice but I like texture and often like the pieces left a little raw like the grungy stars and like the patina pieces get after wearing them a while.

Your enamel work is very cool. I haven't tried it but at the studio where I'm working they have a lot of the old ones with lead in them. The teacher is going to try to trade for the unleaded stuff. What do you work with? I hear the stuff that's bad for you has really gorgeous effects. Isn't it always like that? The best stuff is bad for you ...like French fries.
