About Me:
I'm a lover of all things hand crafted. Love to make them and buy them. Buying indie has become my mantra. I'm an Abba (grandma) to four great kids and moved to the Seattle area to be near them. I've sold my crafts, but now make them for the love of it and to give away to charities and people whose day might be brightened by what I have to offer. I enjoy almost every craft from jewelry making to painting signs and furniture to collaging (digital too). My daughter and I have a book out, "Celebrate Green! Creating Eco-Savvy Holidays, Celebrations and Traditions for the Whole Family." It features many indies and we're looking for more to feature on our website and blog. So if you used recycled materials, or sustainable or earth-friendly items, let me know.

So much excitement

My daughter and I finished our book, Celebrate Green, Eco-Savvy Holidays, Celebrations and Traditions for the Whole Family. It will be out in October, but meantime, we're involved in a lot of activities around it. The book is being published by Kedzie Press, one of the few truly green publishers. We'll be at the Greenfest in Seattle and our books (I have another with Kedzie, My Green Halloween Treasures) will be heavily promoted at the Gre… Continue

First post

I'm pretty overwhelmed at the moment between this blog, working on Green Halloween, trying to figure out how to use my other blog, working with clients, hosting visiting friends, digging up the garden after summer and trying to fit in some exercise! I'm not complaining, believe me, but I really have to be aware of how I'm using my time. I love the concept of Indiepublic and all there is to offer. I love exploring others' pages. I just need to set mysel… Continue

My blog has a big plug board for you to load your link up free & two nice spots to run project wonderful ads. Plus, I like to do blog site, link exchanges. I usually get between 75 to 300 hits a day so it stays busy & is a nice place to promote from.

Thanking you very kindly for your comments. I really enjoy the art of using recycling and hope to get to it more when things in the fire get done and I can get back to my creative desires!

Warm Regards,

Well, at least I know people actually are reading my profile, LOL!

It's classical. I took years of ballet classes and can't hear Mozart or Bach without becoming emotionally involved. For me, music needs to touch my soul and although there are individual songs that do that for me, in general, there's nothing that moves me like the "real" oldies.

Thanks so much for visiting my page. I have always considered myself a "schizophrenic" artist--I work in multiple mediums with random items. I love to work unusual stuff into my designs! Thanks again for visiting and the great comments!

Cheers,

Hi Lynn,

Thank you! I work hard on my jewelry.

Atlanta *is* very lovely. I live on the outskirts, so I get the best of suburb living with a big city nearby. :) I hear Seattle's not that bad either...

Best,
Yazmin
