- About Me:
- When I was growing up, I absolutely loved to take things apart to see how they worked, then put them back together and make them work again (can you imagine what steampunk does to me???). For years, I would collect all kinds of crafting supplies, in hopes that I would make something with them one day. Yet, it was not until last year, when I found myself desparate for a new medical id bracelet, that I found a use for all those beads I had stored away. After making my first id band, I was bitten by the beading bug, and have not been able to stop since.
In October of last year, I found Etsy.com, and fell in love immediately. There are so many wonderful works of art and amazing crafters/designers, that I often find it hard to tear myself away.

A new storefront!
Yesterday, I signed up for a new storefront and spent a good bit of time getting it prepared to open up today. For now, I will only be selling 5 items there, but I am hoping that it will give me the change to expand my market and get a little more exposure. Here is my new store, in all its glory.

The cost of doing business...
Today, a friend and I were discussing the economy. As with most discussions about the economy these days, it soon turned to the price of gas. After a brief discussion about how nice it would be to have a more fuel efficient vehicle, I realized something - it now costs about $26.00 in gas for me to make a trip to the nearest bead store! Getting the word out....
Slowly but surely, I am starting to get the word out about my jewelry. With a full-time + job and focus on creating a cohesive image for my business, there has not been a lot of time for promotion. Promoting online only goes so far, now it's all about getting product and information into people's hands. Got to go to work now, but I will blog a little more later....

New and exciting things....
Over the past couple of days, I have been working very hard to update my etsy store and my website. So far, I have retaken about 85% of my stock photos, created business cards (YEAH!!), and revamped the entire website (double YEAH!!) Here are the fruits of my labor :)
