About Me:
I have always loved to create and have delved into different mediums of the art world. I started out making beaded jewelry about 10 years ago and did various art shows throughout Ohio showcasing my work. A few years later, I got into ceramics and just loved playing with mud! Learning handbuilding techniques, wheel throwing, coming up with my own line of ceramic jewelry pendants and still doing art shows kept me quite busy. I soon purchased my own kiln and was producing all my ceramic pieces from home. Fusing glass always peaked my interest and once I was introduced to it, there was no turning back! Although I still like using clay and making ceramic jewelry, my focus right now is on making my own fused glass artwork. I love to come up with different and unique designs - the possibilities with this type of artwork are endless.

Along with my ceramics and glass, I have also done photography on the side. This started when my son was born and I had to capture every moment on camera. I have done weddings, senior pictures, baby and family pictures. I feel very fortunate to be able to stay at home with my son and do what I truly love. There's not much more to life than that!

♥♥♥♥♥A BOOK ABOVE ALL BOOKS♥♥♥♥♥

I am proud to announce my involvement in this great and awesome book by Timothy Adam Designs, The Handbook To Handmade, Volume IV. It's a really great opportunity to get some advertising space !!!

"The Handbook To Handmade is a 80 page monthly volume of 35 ETSY artists and their shops...this is a promotional tool that is used to help promote artists and Etsy. The first volume was a success, with a great mix of artists from 36 different cities from around the world."

I am going to use it as a marketing tool plus a great conversational piece. Also, drawing people into the book allows them to be drawn into your work, marvel it and want to know more!

A is for autism

There is an awesome etsy seller by the name of designzbylizzie in the forums, and she's doing something really great that i'd like to share with you.

Lizzie's 11-year old son, Julian, has autism. Julian has designed his very own pendant which is amazing. Lizze took his drawing and made the piece from his idea...His words read.."Abilities,,not Disabilities".

Julian will be presenting this piece at the COSAC convention, which brings autistic people and their families together, in Atlantic City in May. There are clinics, speeches, and new treatments available to the people who attend.

You can support little Julian through your purchase of his pendant on etsy! The pendant is $25, and all proceeds go to 'new horizons in autism', based in New Jersey, where Julian is from. You can find designzbylizzie's description of the pendant and purchase it through her etsy website at www.designzbylizzie.etsy.com.
Here is the direct link to the pendant:
