- The shop called "Organic Sushi Cat Toys" or simply "Organic Sushi Toys" on Etsy, is headed by the parents of three wonderful felines named Jack, May and Indy.
Jack, the playful boy that he is, enjoys throwing toys around, chasing them, and following May around the house whenever he can. May, who is more calm than Jack, enjoys sitting in the windows all year long and basking in the sunlight. Jack is the head of what we'd like to call "catnip quality control" each rolls is individually sniffed by his sensitive nose and given an approving "meow" or a disapproving "meur". May is the head of "roll security" and makes sure Jack does not get into the supply boxes. Indy, our loving, cuddly orange tabby enjoys playing with anything (if he's in that mood) and sleeping his is the head of "relaxation therapy" and can often be found aiding the cats in relaxation exercises.
As for the parents ourselves, my fiance provides emotional support in times of slow business and selects the colors for the rolls (I am partially color blind which makes finding the various shades difficult to see sometimes but occasionally my goofs create interesting and one of a kind results).
As for myself, I try to find environmentally friendly ways to design all of our products and hand make our entire line (with the exception of the pet pillows which my somewhat temperamental sewing machine can be credited for). I spend hours looking for fabrics that most people would no longer be able to purchase because they are too short for most quilting needs and find ways to use them in either the quilts I make, of adjust them to fit a pillow.
The remnant fabrics from the quilts I have I plan on using somehow in the stuffings of future toys we make.
We are part of Etsy for Animals and strive to design our products to suit the needs for the pets we cater to, and their human companions.
