it's just not necessary...
last night at about four am plush baby rainbowdash of the my little pony empire started to do her electronic talking thing on her own in my daughter's room (our daughter sleeps with us so she was zzzzzzzzzzzzzz and completely unaware...) immediately i can vividly VIVIDLY picture some hellspawn demond standing all hunched over her bed inspecting the toy, causing it to go off. you know what i watched last night...? frosty the snowman and saturday night live. when i say i cannot endure scary movies… Continue

!viva el underground!
we had our first barn concert on saturday, the 17th. tom thumb and annie lynch and the beekeepers. it was so beautiful and amazing and magical and cool and fun it's hard to describe. the musicians are incredible and we were so honored and blown away by the fact that they were playing in our barn! worked hard to get it ready and so glad it all came together. about 35-40 people showed up and were treated to two really beautiful performances. check out both bands

atari, yo!
wow. we just got an atari consol...console....consule. consul. again, vowel usage eludes me. i think it comes from a mom with a heavy boston accent mixed with moving to the midwest at a young age, then moving to the southwest -- but that's off the subject. the atari ROCKS. it's such a trip. we've been carrying around a bag of cartridges that we must have picked up for free somewhere...like..oh, ten years ago. decided all of a sudden -- not sure why -- that we finally needed to play these games… Continue

starting to pull out my altar items...a little bit later than usual this year. it starts out a bit of kick in the gut but then feels really good. sit and invite my mom for some wine and gil's pa for some tequila. beans...apples...my mom's journal, gil's pa's watch. a portland brew for elliott.
