I am a folk artist, and have been sewing since I was about 4 years old. I started by drawing my own paper dolls and clothes for them, then learned how to make simple dresses for my Barbies.
I have always loved the arts, whether it was creating with play doh, sewing, drawing, teaching myself to play the piano - whatever I could do to keep my little mind and little hands busy!
I love to make OoAK dolls, and give special attention to the details in their eyes, where I feel their personalities really come out. I use pencil water colors and acrylics.
My dolls are dressed in vintage fabrics and accessories, each signed and dated.
Dolls - Santas are probably my favorite
Teddy Bears - Jointed and distressed for that time worn look
Accessories - handbags, clothing

LOL ~ I wonder if the lightening there is like in OKC ~ it will come into the room and wake you up! It is so brite you cannot drive when there is lightening in Oklahoma! That's for the tip on driving in Florida ~ is it as humid as I fear?
Hey Janelle ~ I lived in Knoxville ~ Since you are not a native I just have to comment on how poorly the people in that entire state drive! LOL ~ did you notice that too? I have visited the Franklin historic area ~
