- I have the spirit of a truly defiant graffiti artist, but have as of yet been using other people's discarded paintings as my street art hot spots.

- the walls of The Grit, a great (not to mention famous) vegetarian restaurant here in Athens, Ga. The show went up on the 20th of July and came down on the 10th of August. Three pieces sold, and I feel only encouraged and ready to take on the next challenge. This includes showing work at Carroll Street Cafe in Atlanta in February of 2009. It really seems far away, but I know when I look back I'll wonder where the time went.

- it's always sunny in philadelphia, arrested development, carnivale, the office (UK version), pumpkin, juno, and iron man and the dark knight were awesome when I saw them in the theater. so was tropic thunder. I am looking forward to seeing Burn After Reading.

This Saturday
...is the day I drive to Atlanta to check out Carroll Street Cafe, where I will have a show up in February of 2009. I am going to meet up with a friend and have a day of it. I'm also going to hit up the Value Village Thrift Store on Moreland. It's pretty great. To top it all off, I'm somehow escaping from working the first gameday for UGA, which always seems to prove to be the worst as far as crowds and drunk football fans. So I'll thoroughly enjoy being out of town for a day.

my old boss, a very sad story
A guy I til recently worked for committed suicide two days ago. It was completely unexpected, and he gave no warning whatsoever. He just went up to the top of the downtown parking deck and jumped. I heard a bunch of rumors about there being some girl with him and that he'd tried it before ( a couple months ago, he was admitted to the hospital with a horrible stomach virus, and then just a few weeks later was struck by a car that he was on medication for still ).
