Sue at Country Pleasures
Hot Cocoa Giveaway is still open for entry . Yes that is a tea mug, but the giveaway is for Hot Chocolate!

Then we have
Maria`s Advent Giveaway. Lovely crochet Christmas ornaments.

And don`t forget my giveaway, this
gingham vintage bib apron. I`ll be giving away an apron every month till they are gone.
So much going on. I love the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season. I`m shopping today and then having a nice lunch with my husband. Can`t believe I can shop in light clothes. 70 degrees again today, but it keeps the heating bill small.
You all have a great day. Can`t believe I am blessed with so many giving blog friends.
Till tomorrow,
Cathy
Good morning friends! I am having lots of fun seeking Giveaways and entering for fabulous prizes! There is much talent in the blog community. So many folks who want to share their creativity and generosity with you.

We
didn`t do our shopping yesterday due to job commitments. Thank goodness for work! So we are off early this morning to the landfill and then the stores. The landfill is a twice a month visit. Sure beats paying for trash service that runs about $40.00 a month. We have a pickup truck and that makes the job easy. I recycle but there are some things that just have to go.
Our first stop will be breakfast. That`s a real treat for us, an indulgence, but I like somebody else to cook once in a while. Then there will be a visit to the Salvation Army store and the grocery store. We still don`t have to buy fresh tomatoes. My last Heatwave still has ten green tomatoes on the vine. It looks a little sad. Well actually it is now a pretty depressing piece of plant life. There are 20 tomatoes on my kitchen window sill. You can`t beat a fresh tomato! We were chipping ice off the car windshield so it`s getting cold enough to end the veggies.
I hope you have fun with the Giveaways and don`t forget to check out the links on their pages.
Bye for now,
Cathy
I found another great blog through my network at
Friday Flea Market. The blog is
Rose Cottage Candy Shoppe. She is known as "The Fudge Lady". Her fudge is handmade with pure ingredients, no chemicals or stabilizers. I found the prices to be very reasonable and she has a nice selection. I`m going to order some real quick.
Thank you for your interest in my vintage apron giveaway. You can learn more
Here. I will enter you twice if you post about the giveaway on your blog. Maria at
Cats, Crafts and Penguins is having an Advent Giveaway. The link is also in my sidebar. She has crocheted some lovely Christmas ornaments for you to win. I have already entered.

I`ve enjoyed the snow pictures others are posting. Yesterday we were 70 degrees. I`m grateful for mild weather, but a little frosty white on the ground would be bliss. Just enough to make a decent snowball. I don`t want the 10 foot drifts I remember as a kid. Though snow days were great. When you were in school did you sit at the breakfast table with your ear glued to the radio or did you do as I did and hope the school bus didn`t get up that last slippery hill?
My grandmother had a small red transistor radio that was always turned on for school mornings. For those of you too young to know what a transistor radio is, all I can say is Google it. We waited in anticipation as the school closings were announced. Snow days were a "Good Thing". If our school was open we`d slog down the dirt road to meet the bus. There were times when the bus was a no show. The walk home was never the drudgery of the trip to the main road. Ah youth!
If you want to see wonderful Christmas decorations or snow pictures I recommend you visit the blogs in my sidebar. Some good hints and ideas from crafty, talented women. And if you are a hot chocolate lover you can enter that
Hot Cocoa Giveaway in the sidebar.
I have to get breakfast going for Jack now. Wow! It`s 5 AM and I actually have my act together so far.
I wish you all a happy, healthy day.

Hello on this bright Arizona morning! I decided it`s about time I have another vintage apron giveaway. This beauty is an authentic vintage homemade, machine sewn red gingham bib apron lovingly lavished with chicken scratch embroidery. The machine stitching and hand work is very well done. There is a 22'" neck strap and the 30" waist ties will fit comfortably and make a pretty bow. This apron has no problems. The light area across the skirt is the good ol` morning sun. Perfect for you or a very cool gift.
The giveaway starts today and runs till midnight Friday December 7th Mountain
Standard Time. The winner will be chosen with the random number generator. Just leave a comment to enter. If you post about the giveaway on your blog (let me know) I will enter you a second time. I must be able to contact you as the winner through your blog or please post an email address.
Good luck and Thank you.
Cathy

This has been a fabulous Saturday! I was finally able to run to a few garage sales in town today. Well, two garage sales and a stop at a new vintage and retro shop. It was so good to get out in the sun and shop for vintage goodness.
The Owl Cookie Jar was a dollar at Meadview Time, the vintage store. He`s in great condition except a little wear to the paint on the eyes. I was happy to pay the dollar because it`s hard to find a cookie jar with no chips or cracks out here. The Christmas decorations were .50 each at the garage sale. The yellow Melmac divided dish and the white serving bowl, also Melmac, are perfect, not a scratch. I paid fifty cents for the two. I`ve just started to collect Melmac. We had to run home early so Jack could get out to go prospecting.

I`m getting the Christmas decorations out today. They are in a shed the mice can`t get in. We have packrats and deer mice. The rats are large and eat just about anything, even plastic. It is amazing what is found in the nests. Cholla cactus branches that effectively keep out intruders, cans, pieces of garden hose, bottle caps, insulation and pet food if you feed your animals outside. Usually if I find mouse signs (no, not signs that say "mice here", I`m referring to mouse poop) I put a cat out for a few days and no more mice! My neighbor put a plastic live mouse trap in her workshop and the mouse ate through the plastic sides and took the bait with him. Anyway I`ll be happily dusting my Christmas decor and putting my house in a holiday mood this afternoon.
We`re having an easy supper tonight of Thanksgiving leftovers. Yummy! Thank you for stopping by,
Cathy
