Rag Rescue salvages scraps of fabrics and embellishments from the past and brings them into the future, clean and fresh ready to start a new life in the 21st Century.
By re-using these fabrics and trims, we hope to reduce the estimated one million tonnes of textiles that goes into UK landfills each year.
We have many great patterns and artefacts from the past to share with you. Whether you are a crafter, embellisher, artisan, quilter, fibre artist or designer we hope to fulfil your creative needs.
I hope that by encouraging you to recycle the delectable textiles from years gone by, you will be able to make unique fashion and home accessories for the future.
Cards, pictures, wall hangings, bowls and fashion wear in handmade wet felting and vintage embellishments. I also use vintage recycled fabrics for book covers, lavender hangers and cushions.
I have a website where I put together recycled fabrics of all kinds for embellishing designs.

I know many of us here on Indie Public sell on Etsy but do you also sell on DaWanda?
I am putting together a 5 part blog post over this weekend to talk about how to use DaWanda to expand your business, why it can benefit you, who is buying on DaWanda & what you need to know to be successful there!
Check out the posts at www.always-amy.blogspot.com
Thank you very much! If you have any questions while you are exploring, feel free to pop over and ask - I'll do my best to help out.
I've considered wrapping gifts in fabric, as well. I just have a hard time parting with a lot of fabrics! Silly, I know. :)
