Location:: Orlando

About Me:: Two cousins who like to make fun, creative, beaded jewelry. We love being "green", are really into natural medicine, love alternative art forms, music and much more. We use recycled materials for shipping when possible.

I'm Melissa....I'm an Anthropology graduate who got married and moved to Orlando. I intend on continuing my studies soon, hopefully, someday, lol. Basically, I'm really nerdy, looove history, languages, reading, learning, traveling and more. I had an unconventional upbringing, at least by Puerto Rican standards. I'm a 3rd generation vegetarian, my whole family (grandparents, parents, uncle, aunts) deal with natural/alternative medicine. Therefore, I'm really into a lot of indie stuff. I avoid chemicals like the plague, using as many natural products as possible in my home. I speak Spanish and French besides English, I've traveled to Europe and my tastes were heavily influenced by the time I spent there.

Jewelry-making is mainly a hobby for me, I like making things for myself, I've always preferred to own things that are unique. Nothing bothers me more than walking in a mall and running into someone who's wearing the same thing. Beading is soothing, and one of my few truly creative outlets.

Favorite Music/Musicians:: Melissa likes Keane, the Offspring, My Chemical Romance, lots of rock and pop, music from other countries too like UK, France and Japan

Mileah likes rock, some pop, plenty of bands from the 70's and 80's

Favorite TV Show & Movies:: Family Guy, Bones, Boston Legal, That 70's Show
As for Movies, the list is way too long, everything from 80's movies to the newest blockbusters, indie flicks, foreign and comedies.

Current projects

Recently I met the owner of a small ethnic jewelry kiosk. She's a very sweet girl and we'd been having a great conversation long before we realized that not only did we have jewelry in common but that my husband had actually bought some necklaces for me from her. It was an uncanny coincidence, making me think about how small the world can be sometimes.
