Welcome to Indie!!!

A bunch of us who sell on Etsy.com have already started excepting RME payments!

It is a new online payment site that a lot more people are using now because it is totally free! No FEES!!!!!!
When someone pays you,you get all of your money! Works just like paypal but without the fees. AND they give you $25 for free just for signing up! I didn't want to tell others about it until I actually got my $25 in my bank account and started using it myself. But I have been using it and it is great! So I am spreading the word!
I am so sorry if this sounds or looks like spam. It is not meant to be at all!!! I really just want to tell you about a new way to except online payments without any fees.

Oh and also, I have 2 dogs and 2 cats. If you count my rabbit we also have the same number of pets. I also like reading books. I don't have a non-profit, but I am my own non-profit since I am a public school art teacher. The only hunger I actually fight is the endless hunger of my two adolescent boys and skinny husband.

Ok. You can check it out now. I noticed we have more in common. I too studied sculpture as an undergrad, but now I paint a lot (my masters is in painting) and make pottery. As you can see I also bead jewelry (made a bunch when I sprained my ankle and had to have it elevated all the time). I have raised 2 children (three if you count my husband). My husband saw me putting your photos on my blog. When I told him you also went to a majolica workshop at Arrowmont, he said, "Well SHE must have been paying attention." Your photos definitely make my blog look great right now.

Deborah,

Is it OK if I write about you in my blog, and use a few of your photos with it? http://designgestures.blogspot.com You're not going to get famous from it, but I gotta write about something and I don't like to write about "my day".

Don't worry, hardly anyone is going to go to all the effort you go to...well, me sometimes.

I heard about the Matthieson workshop and I own his very inspiring book. I took it with Lynda Arbuckle. But then I went home and used Mayco under/over glazes instead. (I had already been doing a lot of custom tile work so I had the glazes.) Is this your secret? (You can't reach me from wherever you are). If not, you'll have to email me your secret. Is my email somewhere on my page? I sold all my bowls at one show, but really I was selling them for far too little relative to the amount of work that goes into them. I'm glad to see that you are charging a realistic price. I really like yours work.

I took a week-long workshop on majolica at Arrowmont and decided it wasn't for me. But, I do love to buy it, so I'll keep you in mind when I catch up on my bills.

Very beautiful. I know how long that takes and I'm very impressed. Hope you sell well for your cause.
