Profile Information

Location:: Santa Cruz California

About Me:: I am an indipendent designer ,crafter, artist, living on the west coast. I have been creating things and makings since I was very young. My mother, a very talented woman, believed that it was a waste of time and a good mind to be 'sitting idle' , as she would put it, and so she taught us,(my sisters and I), to knit, crochette, sew, and many other amusments.
We lived in New York city first but moved up to, the sticks as I would like to call it back then, Woodstock. Yes 'that' woodstock.
It was long befor 'that', concert We were out there kind of a way from anything really, accept the great outdoors the woods, the huge space in the back yard, and each other.
She taught us about papier mache, and about colage , and making our own doll clothesand so many other things that I just took for granted at the time although I was thrilled to learn about it, and it did give me something to do. I loved it all then and it has stayed me till now.
Back then I was kind of a nerd doing my crochete instudy hall , or embroidering on some thing. But something quite amazing happened. It suddenly became cool, and fashionable to wear the cut off denim jean skirts that I would be working on... and it was ok to wear the little crochette cloches that I would make ,..I found my niche.
I never looked back.
That was a good bit of time ago, but I now have the time to spend doing more and more creating and desgining. As well I am just learning how to navigate my way around the computer, I come to the computer age kicking and screaming. I realize that the techno age has some rather amazing links to other artist and a pleathera of idea seeds so here I am finaly. With time I will be filling in on what Im up to and more about my creations of whim.

We all know the sound of his voice well enough to recognize it easily. Are you perhaps related, Trinidad being such a small place and it's not a common name. He must be very old now. Liked your cute Halloween stuff and the beading is really beautiful.
