It's good to be in Indiepublic; it's been a challenge for me, learning about all the sites for crafters to display things. To tell the truth, the only blogs I read before joining etsy were political blogs.
To tie these things together, my career background is that I spent most of my adult life working for one company. Even though I tended to feel sick at work, I reluctantly accepted their assurances their air quality tests showed it to be a healthy workplace. Eventually, however, I developed a serious case of asthma. I couldn't look for work elsewhere, even though I was sickest at work, and eventually lost the job when they were doing manpower cuts. I didn't get better-- and before I left, I had plenty of evidence there was mold in the office air vents (people complained of a moldy smell, other people left with respiratory or voice problems, widespread health issues other people were too scared to make official complaint of, black residue around the vents above my desk).
I'm still not healthy enough to work a steady job. But even on a bad day, I can check my email and put together a package. And crafting is something I can still do. I support artisans as the true entrepreneurs of the world; putting their labor and money into their own business. We try to support ourselves by being the best, or providing something unique; we have no bosses but our customers.
I'm so dumb!!! I what I thought was your photos of what you made was one of your 'friends'. No wonder 'about me' and the photo didn't match!! Sorry!! I've just began reading about collage. I want to try and do some soon.
