that is, taking all of my eggs out of my etsy basket and putting them in my MiM.

with no recent sales, i'm getting turned off from etsy, but i'm not sure i'm ready to give up completely.

have many of you shifted most of your online stock to you MiM?
how are you doing with it?

I have been toying with the same idea since I found MiM... I have decided that I will stop listing new items and leave my shop until all items have expired. After All I did pay for them. I would suggest you do the same so you aren't throwing away money spent to list.
I too have been turned off - mostly because of the very poor Admin.. and to me it has become somewhat clicky... as for sales I think they are just slow all over with the Nation's Economy being so bad! I am hoping that Christmas will pick things up for all of us!

We have shops on both sites. We have split our inventory. We sell nursing wraps and greeting cards, so we make 2 or more of each item using the same fabric or paper and list them on each site. We have been so happy with MiM and are so glad to be a part of it from the beginning! Best of luck with your decision. Hope you will join our MiM team!

It looks like several of us are working towards the same plan---to transfer our handmade inventory from Etsy to MiM. I'm allowing my etsy listings to expire, too. I may be able to maintain that account for vintage and custom orders, but I'll be focusing most of my effort on MiM.
It could be we all have similar reasons for making the switch. For me and my shop, the environment on Etsy is too mature. With the promise of handmade crafts, the attraction to children is strong---yet, they continue to ignore the responsibility that comes with controversial content on the site. There has also been a huge influx of vintage that has diminished the market for handmade on Etsy. Plus the admin issues that others have mentioned.
MiM will take time to develop, and it's just refreshing to have an alternative place to sell!

Hi all,

Is anyone making sales from MiM? I'm on both as all of you. I haven't sold much from Etsy either but haven't sold anything on MiM yet? Just not sure what to do!

thanks for all the replies, i hadn't thought of letting things expire, but that is a good idea, i was just going to shut it down altogether, didn't think of that adding to the loss.

Good for MiM! I agree with WildWood... I think we all have the same thoughts and together we can really make MiM Rock!!!

I still have most of my stuff on etsy. Although my sales over there have slowed way way down, I am still selling. So far I have sold a big nothing on MIM so I am not ready to make the leap. I will give it more consideration after a big sale that I do the first week in December. I am not ready in my head yet to make the total switch.
