I am a quilter, but I also sell ethnic textiles on Etsy and eBay. Part of my love for these textiles is the story they tell about the people who make them. Being around them for over two decades also colors or influences my own work. I started a blog, Fiber Focus (http://fiberfocus.blogspot.com/) that seeks to explore some of the impact fiber products have on our lives and in our history both on an individual level and when it is part of a community, as are many fair trade and green efforts. This just led to starting another group here on Ning by the same name, Fiber Focus, that hopes to develop a community around this theme. If interested, come visit!

I'm also always looking for new articles for the blog. To make this relevant to this group, I think that the best way to market yourself is to connect with others who share your same passions, whether it is through free networking venues like this or through paid advertising in venues that are similar to yours.
