Half-an-Acre

This is a REALLY thick question, I know - but i need to ask!

..what is the RSS feed?
what goes into it - and what does it do?

do I just use it to link to site that I want to link to? ie my etsy shop?

Hello,

An RSS feed is the "Stream" of information that flows from a website. Some people use a special program (A Reader) to subscribe to RSS feeds from various websites. Then when the person wants to see the current information at there favorite websites they can just look at their Reader program screen, which will typically display the titles of the current information at their favorite websites.

The way you could use RSS is by using a reader (I use Flock as my reader) to keep track of what's going on at your favorite websites without having to visit each one every day. Right now I can look at my RSS feeds and see that there are six posts for me to read at "Not Martha", and No new posts since my last browse at "The Babe of Business" along with 503 other posts I haven't read yet at my favorite blogs, Etsy Shops, Indie public pages, forums and twitter friends.

You don't generally need to do much to get an RSS feed going from your Blog or Etsy shop it comes with the set up. (I can see your Etsy shop feed and your Indie Public Feed too.)
