I would love to add letterpressed cards to my company's product line. But, I'm having trouble finding a letterpresser to do the work once I have a final design. Any thoughts?

depending on where you live, there might be letterpress classes offered at a local university or other organization. Living in San Francisco, we have the SF Center for the Book, which theaches LP classes. Once you take a certain number, you can then rent the presses. I've taken two classes and it is so addicting, can't wait till I can start making some of my own designs on it.
You could also possibly find a local press that will make a plate of your designs and make prints for you, but it might not be cheap.
Check out http://www.iloveletterpress.com/ it's a great letterpress resource. Good luck!

Studio on Fire in Minneapolis is pretty awesome, and I know they collaborate with various artists to produce a line of cards currently... they might be a great resource for you, and I know firsthand that their craft and taste level is impeccable...

I just printed a large custom invitation order of mine with http://www.bellafigura.com/index.htm
They're local to my area, but they work with people all across the country. I really enjoyed the experience. Good luck!

I am just starting to poke my head into the world of letter pressing, and wow, I am surprised. I knew it wasn't easy but I didn't know you needed classes and all. It makes me want to learn about it even more!!

I just set up my own business after almost a year of taking letterpress classes! Some days I think I stopped taking classes too soon!

Check out my blog for glimpses of the letterpress process -- http://joiestudio.blogspot.com If you scroll down the page, I just posted a video of my "new" press in action! I'm also open to collaboration if you ever need a letterpress partner!

You may also want to try Letpress Listserv. It is a group of letterpress printers from around the world.

The archives of the listserv and information for joinging are here:

Good luck!

I love the look of letterpressed papers!
I had been wondering if a local school would allow me to use their press, but I'm sure I have to sign up for classes first.
Like someone else said, it would take a lot of time trying to press your own products so it might be best to leave the pressing to the pros and just do the designing, which is what I love.

OMG!
The University of Iowa's Center for the Book turns out 2-5 great letterpress operators per year (myself included). Just Google the University of Iowa Center for the Book, and look for Contact Us. The office will be happy to post any job opportunities to the group.

Look for The Ladies of the Letterpress - we are a pretty hip bunch of chicks.
