When you were little, what did you want to be when you grow up?

Looking back, what did you want to be that you can't believe you EVER wanted to be?

There were so many things I wanted to be when I was little - from a nurse, to an author, to a veterinarian, to a model. Its great to dream isn't it?

Looking back, it was probably the idea of being a teacher that is most surprising to me now. I don't think I could even consider it - the though of getting up in front of others (especially children) to teach just makes me nervous. I much prefer not to be in public speaking of any kind. I have so much respect and admiration for people who can do this - and to help people to learn and grow, too. Wow.

I taught children's pottery classes through the local artist's guild during the summer months and quickly realized that I wasn't cut out for that--not enough patience! Standing in front of a classroom, yes, even highschoolers, is not at all like standing in front of other groups. If I have to even say my name to a group, I get all choked up and can hardly get the words out, my stomach goes into knots....; ▶ Reply to This

I worked in the medical field as a nursing assistant and a phlebotomist (drew blood) while going to school. I ended up majoring in Illustration at an art college, got my BFA and I just opened an Etsy shop 5 days ago.
