When you were little, what did you want to be when you grow up?
AND
Looking back, what did you want to be that you can't believe you EVER wanted to be?

*******
There were so many things I wanted to be when I was little - from a nurse, to an author, to a veterinarian, to a model. Its great to dream isn't it?

Looking back, it was probably the idea of being a teacher that is most surprising to me now. I don't think I could even consider it - the though of getting up in front of others (especially children) to teach just makes me nervous. I much prefer not to be in public speaking of any kind. I have so much respect and admiration for people who can do this - and to help people to learn and grow, too. Wow.

One of the main things I remember is I wanted to be the first women major league baseball player.

I wanted to work for Jim Henson. I wanted to spend all day making puppets. The careers adviser at school just laughed at me and told me to be realistic and go with my talents in science, so I ended up training in microbiology. I wish I'd never listened to the fool and gone with my heart.

I totally had this dream, too! Actually, I kinda still do... ;)

Hi Kinichi River Designs, I actually just featured Maggierama who once worked in Jim Henson's muppet shop. You may want to talk to her if you're still interested! =)

Here's the link to her article:

Thanks for the link. I've not seen her work before - so cute indeed! I'm excited to have found the cuteable site, too. Do you run that one, as well?

Yup! I created this site about a year ago, and it was part of my inspiration to create Indiepublic!

How fun! I'm enjoying it quite a lot right now... may have trouble getting away from the computer tonight. ;)

That site *is* addictive! =)

BTW I like your sock friends as well as your pendants. I've bookmarked your site and will definitely mention it on Cuteable sometime in the next week or so.

It must be so much fun to put together. :)

Thank you for the compliments! How sweet of you - that would be great to see them on there! :)

I always wanted to be a fashion designer, but when it came to making decisions I chickened out - now I'm in political philosophy, lol.

I wanted to be an artist.... Yup, that's it!

The only other things I was interested in were volcanoes, fossils, and some astronomy...
