"I'd rather attempt something great and fail... than try something ordinary and succeed."
- inspiring words from Norman Vincent Peale
To stay competitive, be successful and overcome barriers standing in your way, you need to regularly assess where you are and what you want to achieve. Your mental attitude can make the difference between reaching or not reaching your goals.

How about sharing few Common problems that may be holding your marketing back
i think its always a never ending process 2 keep improving on Ur marketing skills . Are you stuck by your own thinking, your behaviors or your perceptions about your marketing and what is or isn't possible?
Great topic -- I think the thing that holds my marketing back is letting emotion cloud the process. Often times, I'll have poor results on a particular campaign and I'll allow that to dissuade me from continuing to promote.
However, from everything I've learned, it's really a trial and error process and the best way to get results is to be methodical and consistent!
Thank you, I don't know if witting about this topic is a more of a help 2 myself or 2 anyone else its something like if u share a discussion so interesting like marketing a few extra tips are always welcome and also the common mistakes that we all make ... i was reading about this day be4 perhaps u would also find it interesting..

women who are just too sensitive about business. Every rejection becomes a devastating blow. The truth is that people who reject us are actually doing us a favor. They are freeing us to go after the qualified customers who will help build our business.
4. LACK OF SALES AND MARKETING SKILLS
5. NOT TRUSTING YOUR INTUITION
6 NO SYSTEMS IN PLACE
7. NO PLANNING

Great topic! I think (esp. as women) we need to do what we are scared to do. We often hesitate to put ourselves or our product out there because we fear rejection. I think what you need to remember is that you have already showed great courage by selling online for the world to see.
The next steps, like promoting and telling everyone you know may seem like we're tooting our own horn. Well, guess what, you ARE! Most artists have a reason to trumpet their product and generally there is someone in the world that will cherish what you have created. Celebrate that, scream it from the rooptops, sing it for all to hear!
My problem is that I keep reading all these wonderfull topics about how to improve your business and get all these great ideas ...but still ..I can't seem to manage to actually put them to use . Sometimes I wish I had a twin sister so that we could do it all together on a daily basis ....
My husband shows no interest and No one else around me lives " on my planet" creatively speaking .
Marketing is my big stumbling block right now. I have plenty of experience in creating, but the marketing side is a mystery to me. I'm trying to spend time learning more about it and improving, but I find it an uphill battle. Like others have said, I find it difficult to promote myself or toot my own horn.
My other difficulty right now, and it is related, is how to reach my target market. Where to promote and advertise - how to spend my advertisement budget effectively. Any suggestions?
