"I'd rather attempt something great and fail... than try something ordinary and succeed."
- inspiring words from Norman Vincent Peale
To stay competitive, be successful and overcome barriers standing in your way, you need to regularly assess where you are and what you want to achieve. Your mental attitude can make the difference between reaching or not reaching your goals.
this topic i think would interest all those who feel they have a interesting success story to share..
What a great topic to start a conversation on. I too, like many others, struggle with this. I am a jewelry designer and bead artist. One thing I changed over the years is to almost exclusively wear my jewelry. People notice it, remark on it, and it is great advertising. A second thing is to have a more positive attitude towards rejection. I try to look at it like this - if it will take 20 no's to get to one yes, then I just need to keep getting past the no's. Nothing personal about it.
I am now trying to learn how to market in the online world where photos and text have to do the job.
Great stories. I think this is a great discussion as well. I think we all need to keep positive and be persistent. Let's keep our determination right where it should be...which is...um...at the top? Lol ok so I'm not the best speaker hahahah but seriously, I know I need to remember to keep at it and not let things get me down. I know I can succeed at what I'm trying to do if I keep reassessing what that is, and keep it fresh, and I know that anyone else can do the same. Just keep your goals in mind and keep working to achieve them.
