I have a pug named Nigel. He thinks he is a big dog and presides over the entire neighborhood and his daycare class. We call him Sir Nigel, I think he prefers that.
Baby: she's actually an old lady now, not a baby, but we rescued her when she was a tiny little baby. A guy found her litter on the side of the road with thier eyes barely open. The mama kitty had been hit by a car, so he got all the kittens in a box and took them to a local cat shelter.
Charlie: our neighbor rescued him off the freeway, all of the muscles under all for of his legs were completely shredded. Vet said the likely way this happened was he was thrown out the window while the car was moving.
and 4 dogs:
Molly and Tucker: Golden Retrievers. We didn't rescue these.
Toby: this will sound odd but we rescued him from a pet store. The pet store in our mall is known to not treat the animals very well, he was starting to get too old and wasn't an adorible little puppy anymore. They were either going to have him put down or sold to a puppy mill for breeding.
Puck: (named after Puck from midsummer's night dream) My sister got her from a guy on the street selling her. She was a puppy mill mama, but they were done with her. All of the skin on her stomach was burned off because she was laying in her own urine and her nipples are like a centimeter long because of all the puppies she nursed.
I have two dogs!! I am very passionate in my love for them :)
My soul mate dog's name is Geisha. She's a little bridle Pomeranian mixed with a Boston terrier.
She's so much like me, it's crazy!! Everyone thinks she looks like a gremlin but I think she's the cutest!
My second dog's name is Chester, he's a big doofy Golden retriever. He's the baby. A really big baby!!
Some day I would love to a pair of mini bulldogs, I think they are so cute!!!
I have a shih-tzu named Little Man. He is my heart. My fiance and I got him about a month after our baby passed away last year and he was the best thing I have ever purchased. I love him to death and I can't imagine not having him. He's super funny and energetic. He is like a little person. It's true pets really are therapy! Little Man clings to those he knows and is weary of strangers. He doesn't bark much unless he's playing or wants what ever me or my fiance are eating. He had a birthday last month and my mom showed up with cupcakes! Lol. He is a part of the family.
I can't resist a thread about pets :)
We have two weims - Colby 7 years old & Jack our 9 month old (my husband is a chef with a cheese fetish). They are totally our kids. Colby was a rescue, in fact we're his third owner! I'm glad he found us, because he is a wonderfully outgoing dog. He's the tough kid. Jack wasn't a rescue (we couldn't find any in our current area) and he acts more like a funny, spoiled kid - even talks/barks back at us. They couldn't be more different from one another.
We also have a cat named Simba - yeah we got him 14 years ago when the Lion King came out. Surprisingly he keeps the weims in check :)
We also have some fish, but I lost count as to how many. I was surprise to read how long some people have had their fish! I thought having our 2 angel fish for 3 years was an accomplishment...I have a ways to go.
My husband really wants a bunny too, but I keep telling him no more pets until we move - our house is only so big :)
PS - Rebecca love your Pomeranian mixed with a Boston terrier. I've never seen that mix before - too cute!
I have a Labradoodle that is Belgian Chocolate named Violet Star.
3 kitties - Orange tabby named 'Nilla 'cause he is the color of a 'nilla wafer - Brown tabby with no tail named Zelda - and a GIANT ragdoll named Simba.
My Mom has an 8lb. silver poodle named Benjamin.
We have a FULL house =) full of love.
The pic is 'Nilla helping me with my display =)
I would love to have a mini donkey…they are TOO cute…I would probably want two so they would have a friend.
I love reading about everyone's pets!
Birds, gerbils, puppies, and cats!
So cute!!
I have a 1 year old Boston Terrier named Chloe.
She is a really shy, very sweet dog. She loves people, and isn't shy around them, but she is really shy around other dogs :)
She also really loves to eat. Anything. You really have to keep your eye on her.
When she is sleeping, she sticks her tongue out. So we have nicknamed her Chloe Bologna :) Because it looks like a little piece of bologna hanging out of her mouth!
