Indiepublic

Some people have brought up a few concerns with Etsy and the few issues they have with the site. While I won't go into any of the issues here, I invite you to check out a list I have put together of alternative sites that offer essentially the same service as Etsy; online selling for Independent artists.

Check it out on my personal blog, Psilology

Comments are welcome and if I have missed any, let me know!
Enjoy. (I hope the list is helpful)

I also did a second edition to the list because I found quite a few more Etsy alternatives.

You can see the second list here;

Feedback and comments on the blog are most welcome so drop by.
Cheers!

Building up your own website to sell from your site is also a good idea. I started a store on BigCartel because of my Etsy concerns and BigCartel has worked really well for me. I also offer a discount on SEO writing for anyone that is concerned about Etsy and wants to start building up their own site so they are less dependent on Etsy. Loyalty to the craft community is all well and good, but..... your business needs to come first!

S2, that is how I run my regular website. I mention Big Cartel in my first list because it really is my favourite online ecommerce site for indiependent entrepreneurs. It is such a great way to have your wares showcased and it's so easy to use. It is total control for the user but then the marketing is all your responsibility also.

The double edged sword so to speak but your SEO services are a great option for those of us going that route. I will be checking your site after I post this.

Best,
Stacy
