I'll start: My name is Sion Lee and I live in Las Vegas, NV. I'm a full-time blogger and artist; you may know me from my blog, Cuteable, or from my art, Ubiki. I have an engineering background which allows me to do all sorts of fun stuff with websites, but at heart I'm a creative soul who enjoys art and design.
In my spare time I like doodling, feeding the koi in my backyard pond, and playing with my crazy monster beagle, Sogo!
Hi! Im a fairy and fantasy artist based in Cheshire in the UK. I work in coloured pencils (for the most part, im also known to occassionally use watercolours, inks and acrylics) and although i work mainly in the fantasy genre, i also love to draw animals, and whatever else takes my fancy or captures my imagination.
Hi everyone! My name is Sheila Djiwatampu. I live in Jakarta, Indonesia. Out of the blue, I started creating colorful reversible corduroy totes 3 years ago and started selling on Sheila D. My background is graphic design. I worked in LA and in NY (LEGO) before. But I'm done with corporate jobs. I much prefer working on my own, creating things and most important thing is having the freedom to manage my own time. It's been a bliss.
I must say that I'm constantly amazed with all the indie designers on the web! So many things, so many creations, unbelievable ideas! Through community groups, blogs, etsy, flickr... we've been linked & exposed together through that, and now this! Thanks to Sion for creating indiepublic. I'm excited as everyone else. Nice to know you all!
Hi!!! We are margarida and sergio and we run Ei! Kumpel. At the moment we live in Portugal and England.
We love handmade crafts and we have lots of fun while designing and making all our crafts and we really love it! Ei! Kumpel sells handmade fashion accessories (brooches, necklaces, hair-clips...), key-rings, softies and many more!
HI, I'm Kathi Robinaugh, aka "Whim"....I am a collage artist, and also mess around with some primitive crafts! Mostly I make handmade cards, tags, atc or aceo's, paper bag books, journals, and whatever else I can find to alter! I also am a scrapbooker, with 4 sons (ages 19, 17, 15 and 8) I have plenty pictures to keep me busy for a lifetime on that! For the next few weeks, I am at home full-time but am starting a new job working with my husband at his private ambulance service ambulance service, doing bookkeeping, PR and a website! I still hope to make things "for fun" and keep up with my etsy shop!
I'm still figuring this site out, but I did add some pictures and have TONS more I can add...right now I need to get out to the studio though!
thanks for having me :)
Hi, I'm Joanne. I live in Baltimore, Maryland. I'm a sign language interpreter by trade, but I also make jewelry and pottery when the mood strikes. I'm part of EAST and EFA on ETSY.
This is the perfect complement to ETSY! I've tried myspace and facebook and I just can't deal with them. Thanks to Sion and everyone else who has a hand in Indiepublic!
My name is Gerry and I have a shop on etsy called GerrysJewelBox. We specialize in Vintage Inspired Jewelry Making Supplies and Jewelry Creations Reminiscent of the Victorian, Art Nouveau, Edwardian and Art Deco Eras. If you're looking for something to Inspire...OR...Compliment your Attire, you'll certainly find it in my shop!
When I am not creating jewelry or selling it, I am probably spending time playing with my cockapoo puppy named, Cara Mia, or relaxing with my cat, Jazzpurr. I enjoy learning new things...the mind is a terrible thing to waste, as they say. Other than that, i enjoy shopping and taking care of my home and family.
Wishing you all a pleasantly productive day!
Gerry
Afternoon all! At least it's afternoon in San Diego. I hope the weather is cooling down for everyone suffering in the heat. My name is Susan Estrada. I'm a part time engineering consultant and part time jewelry designer. I've been doing engineering for 22 years and jewelry design for 4 years. I use high quality semi-precious gemstones, precious metals, gorgeous lampwork beads and many other things that add interest in my jewelry. I also try to find other fun ways to use the plethora of beads I have so you'll see spiders, wire people and dogs, pens, letter openers and other items in my store as well. Have a great day!
I'm a little late on the intro thing; I've been here for a couple days! :) My name is Casey and I live in the Washington DC area. I'm a full-time college student studying graphic design and "minoring" (if you can call it that!) in fine art. I have loved doing handcrafts since I was a kid, love anything "old", art, design, movies, music... I recently started my own shop as a way to market my handmade items and the pile of vintage garments and other ephemera I've amassed! :) I also blog regularly: Elegant Musings.
I love the idea behind Indiepublic and am so excited to be a part of it!! :)
hi!
my name is lindsey. my husband and i live in florida with our almost 2 year old daughter, until we think of somewhere more interesting to live. ;) we love music, poetry, art expression, coffee, and are always finding ourselves drawn to creative minds like a moth to a flame. my current art expression has been silversmithing modernized mom-themed jewelry, and handstamping on to silver what ever words are stirring me at the moment. i'm excited to see that these types are communities exsist online, because it is so much harder to find locally and in person! i'm so inspired to be surrounded by like minds, it truely is a blessing. :)
