When you were little, what did you want to be when you grow up?
AND
Looking back, what did you want to be that you can't believe you EVER wanted to be?

*******
There were so many things I wanted to be when I was little - from a nurse, to an author, to a veterinarian, to a model. Its great to dream isn't it?

Looking back, it was probably the idea of being a teacher that is most surprising to me now. I don't think I could even consider it - the though of getting up in front of others (especially children) to teach just makes me nervous. I much prefer not to be in public speaking of any kind. I have so much respect and admiration for people who can do this - and to help people to learn and grow, too. Wow.

Oh my...I wanted to be an astronaut at one point, an arcehologist another time...I wanted to be the first woman president in 2nd grade! lol! In high school I had my heart set on going to school for interior design out-of-state, but because of a boyfriend at the time ended up settling on art history at the University of Maine. After 2 years of that (and deciding it was nowhere NEAR interior design) I went to cosmetology school, then took a class in medical transcription which is my current job at age 27. I've been doing this for 3 years now. I look back and think, all this time one thing has been constant and that is my love for sewing. I am always making clothing for myself and my little girls. I've decided that is truly where my heart is and that **SOMEDAY** It will be my "real job" and not just part of my side project (Jolie Handmade). Sorry for the long post! I guess I just want to experience many jobs in life!! haha!

I remember being in first grade and knowing that I wanted to be a teacher. I think part of me still wants to be a teacher especially now that I'm a mom.

I wanted to be a nurse. I found one of my school papers writing a very short essay on why I want to be a nurse (in blue crayon). It was very cute.

I wanted to be an artist, but after 15 years on the dog show circuit I am not sure that I have enough time to make it. I am currently finished with my AA in Fine Art. I don't know how to function in the market. I have a vision that everyday people would get to live with art. Not the pretentious art in museums, but art that they can enjoy. I will start The rest of my college this fall. How knows, someday I will see common people with their own special art collections.

when I was a kid, there were so many different things i wanted to do when i grew up. But as I get older, I realize you may not end up doing what you planned on doing when you were a kid, but as long as you live life to the fullest and are happy....thats all that matters.
