When you were little, what did you want to be when you grow up?
AND
Looking back, what did you want to be that you can't believe you EVER wanted to be?

*******
There were so many things I wanted to be when I was little - from a nurse, to an author, to a veterinarian, to a model. Its great to dream isn't it?

Looking back, it was probably the idea of being a teacher that is most surprising to me now. I don't think I could even consider it - the though of getting up in front of others (especially children) to teach just makes me nervous. I much prefer not to be in public speaking of any kind. I have so much respect and admiration for people who can do this - and to help people to learn and grow, too. Wow.

Just checked out your myspace - you have a fabulous voice and love your music! I especially liked Gonna Leave You! Good luck with following this dream!

I always wanted to be either a ballerina or a teacher.

Now I think it's laughable that I once hoped to dance professionally - did I not realize I'd have to get up on a stage in front of tons of people?? Terrifying!!

Now I'm homeschooling my younger sister, so I did fulfill the teaching desire, just in a different way than I had originally planned.

My gosh I didn't really think about it. I do remember clearly that I would play being a secretary and shuffle papers around on a desk. And guess what I did for many years, sat behind a desk shuffling papers! *lol*

I do remember wanting lots and lots of kids. Well, I'm very happy and satisfied with two. I can't imagine any more than that and give women kudos who can handle more! And funny that after I had kids the opportunity to explore my creative side made itself available.

Gotta love lifes twists and turns!

Talking about kids... I always thought I wanted to have twins. Maybe even quintuplets! I can't even imagine that now! Yikes!

I don't know what other girls wanted but I wanted to be a PRINCESS, hehehehe!

I actually wanted to be a professional ballerina! Second best thing to a Princess!

But instead, I am a teacher, which when I got into high school is exactly everything I wanted. I basically became a Princess to my students! Its awesome!

I wanted to be a jockey! I loved horses (still do) and was determined to be a jockey.
Alas, the gene pool is cruel, and I grew. First up, then out. After the growth spurt, I decided that maybe an outrider would be cool too. My mother poo-pooed that real quick, since 'thats not professional'.

I never really knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. Still don't. "Playing" with beads would be good, but I worry I'd get burnt out, then where would I be??

I wanted to be a teacher, and own my own nail salon, and at one time I think I wanted to be a fire fighter!
The teacher bit is still in me! But a Fire Fighter, lol, yeah right! Can we say chicken? Much love to all those out there who are, it takes great courage to run into a burning building!

The veterinarian was my first choice =P I think every kid wants to be one some day. Then I wanted to be a pharmacist, a musician, a movie director....

I'm now working in the travel industry and enjoying my craft more than ever =) Whatever I dreamed of was nice, but enver as nice as what I'm doing now ^^
