Talents I Admire - Artist to Feature on my blog

Next week I'm starting a series of blog-posts called Talents I Admire. After joinining the wonderful world of Etsy and all the accompanying networks, I have been so inspired by all of the different mediums and supplies people work with. I'm a painter and drawer. I paint paintings and draw drawings. I'm not opposed to trying new mediums and making different items, I think I just need a little kick start to a trial and error exporatory phase. It's my goal to feature an artist from all different handmade categories. In a way, this Talents I Admire series is a learning process for me and hopefully for others. To learn a little more about the other types of handmande creations other than our own.

I already know who my first post is going to feature. It's the artist who introduced me to Etsy and has helped me along the way.

If you would like me to explore your talent, reply to this discussion. I've also added this announcement to my blog: japaby.blogspot.com

I recently opened an etsy store and would love to be featured in your blog.. I create one-of-a-kind pieces from abandoned treasures, including antique lockets, old vintage Chanel chain, rare charms, chandelier crystals, watch chains and other resurrected finds. Now, they are grateful to be worn again. Please check out my shop: www.vintagerehab.etsy.com. Feedback is appreciated.

Handmade with love by Stacey Samuels.

Hi Jacqui,
Sounds like a great idea! I find it so inspiring to look at what other people are doing out there in artsy-fartsy land! I like that you are devoting blog space to featuring other artists - it's good to spread the love. I am trying to do that, too with my "Crafty Site of the Day" gadget. I'll feature your blog in the near future! Check it out: http://www.eucalyptushandmade.com/gadget.aspx

Hello,
I work with fabric. I like to create purses and wristlets, but I REALLY like making my coiled fabric baskets and bowls. You can see some photos on my profile page, or visit my Etsy site: www.sparroworiginals.etsy.com
Thanks!
