Please Introduce Yourself!

If you're new to Indiepublic, please introduce yourself here! We're a friendly and supportive community so don't be shy.

I'll start: My name is Sion Lee and I live in Las Vegas, NV. I'm a full-time blogger and artist; you may know me from my blog, Cuteable, or from my art, Ubiki. I have an engineering background which allows me to do all sorts of fun stuff with websites, but at heart I'm a creative soul who enjoys art and design.

In my spare time I like doodling, feeding the koi in my backyard pond, and playing with my crazy monster beagle, Sogo!

Hi Everyone!

I just joined uo just a few minutes ago. I'm still wading through everything in here and slowly sorting it out but thought i'd introduce myself.

I'm orginally from Sydney, Oz but have been living here in London UK for the last 2.5 years. Have loved it in London but do miss the sunny weather back home.

I've just joined up here cause I love to make earrings and taking photos everywhere I go. You can check out some of my stuff on my indie page or just got to my shop at PP Designs

In my spare time when i'm not constantly on Etsy (so addictive...I hope indie doesn't become another addiction) i'm looking for a full time job (unfortunately my shop can't really support me!) and enjoying this short break of being a 'lady of leisure'

Well hope you can come visit me soon for a chat!

Hi I just joined yesterday and am so happy to be a part of this! I have been making and selling jewelry for approximately 2 years and in the last 3 months have been trying to build a network online. I have had an etsy shop since November and am still working at getting the word out, but I have been happy with my sales thus far.
I am currently a stay at home mom and am hoping that this little business of mine will help us out financially... Please feel free to take a look at my photos and become a friend. Do check out my etsy shop too!!

I just joined tonight. I'm hoping to get more exposure for my shop at etsy through this site. I'm married and have two kids in CT. I love taking photos and I'm now trying to sell them. Hopefully, other people will enjoy them also. I sell photo notecards and prints. My husband makes wooden pens and hopefully expanding his collection to other items in wood. Please visit my site at etsy. com under styrendesigns. Thanks!

Hi Styrendesigns,
I'm new to Indie, too, an "oldster" by a couple of days...also joined for ways to learn to get exposure of my etsy shop. And I'm a fellow New Englander (Vermont). I just took a look at your etsy shop, and both your work and your husband's are great. Seems to me the prices on the pens are too low, though, at least compared to what I've seen at craft fairs here. Personally, I'm always being told to price up my items and then I often worry about making sales and drop them, and have found it never pays to try to sell something for less. Just my quick thoughts, anyway, welcome! If you have time and would like, check out my shop at http://afterall.etsy.com and feel free to give me some feedback as well!

Hi Susan,

I Iooked at your shop and your items seem beautiful. You put alot of work into items and it shows. You have some cute items and beautiful fabric. I think your prices are reasonable for handmade items. Good luck and maybe I'll see you again in the chat forums. Take care. Gisele

Hi all,

I just joined yesterday. My name is Katie and currently I live in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Originally I'm from Greece but I've lived all around the world the past 7 years! I've studied psychology and currently I work in purchasing for a GPS systems company.

Sewing and knitting has been a passion of mine since I was little. It wasn't until I came to Amsterdam that I actually started to make things for sale. Amsterdam is a great place for someone like me... there are countless of fabric stores, markets and vintage clothing is a big thing here. Here I got the opportunity to start making my own designs and become an indie like all of you guys.

I'm glad to be a part of this community. Good luck to all of you out there!

Katie

Welcome, Rhonda!
We have 4 cats - all black, but very different in shape and personality - and "a dog of a different color". I love Santa Cruz, have a daughter who lives in San Francisco (I'm in Vermont). You will find Indie wonderful...I only joined a short time ago but am amazed by the community.

Hey! My name is Meg and I live in Utah. I just graduated from college and am currently working from home as a full-time craftster. In the past my art has been super private, but I decided to branch out a little and start a shop on Etsy. It's called Bode22. I love doing it and have met many amazing people because of it. I joined Indiepublic in the hopes of meeting even more! :) So please add me as a friend or send me a comment - I'd love to hear from you!
