Please Introduce Yourself!

If you're new to Indiepublic, please introduce yourself here! We're a friendly and supportive community so don't be shy.

I'll start: My name is Sion Lee and I live in Las Vegas, NV. I'm a full-time blogger and artist; you may know me from my blog, Cuteable, or from my art, Ubiki. I have an engineering background which allows me to do all sorts of fun stuff with websites, but at heart I'm a creative soul who enjoys art and design.

In my spare time I like doodling, feeding the koi in my backyard pond, and playing with my crazy monster beagle, Sogo!

Hello Fellow Indiepublic Peepz,

My name is Nichole and I'm 26 years old and live in Miracle Mile of Los Angeles with my boyfriend (a graphic designer, website builder/manager) and our two cats, Lucy and Diego. I love to create many different things, but mainly I work with different types of beads (new and vintage) along with other interesting materials I come across to design Necklaces, Bracelets, and Earrings. I also like to paint with acrylic, dabble in graphic design and work with clay, such a Fimo. My etsy website is www.beverlybijou.etsy.com
I also help my boyfriend with his other sites:
www.thebeverlyshop.com ( This will link you too all of our partner websites which include many fantastic collectible and household items at great prices! )
I also am currently helping with the online store www.grooveriders.com ( a DJ supplies store )

I have a bachelors degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in arts and education. I also have two teaching credentials. In a few weeks, I will be starting a new class ( first year with my own students) of 2,3,4 combo elementary special Day class for students with specific learning disabilities. Integrating arts into the curriculum is a huge part of my teaching philosophy.
Whew, Sorry this is so long! There is just so much going on... :) So glad to be here and to meet you all!

Hi my name is Heather Gill and I live in Scottsdale, Arizona. I'm a sahm of a very busy 3 year old and an artist. I opened up a little shop on etsy in May of this year so that I could sell the items that I have made and continue to purchase supplies to make more.
I started with jewelry after the birth of my daughter and needed a creative outlet. I am a culinary trained chef and that field is a little hard to be in and still maintain a family life. I started out with just stringing. I got bored really quick and started to look for other things to do in the jewelry world and I found precious metal clay. Well 3 years later I still love it. I have started to take classes in traditional metalsmithing and I am enjoying it very much.
I am very happy to have found this place. Thank you so much Sion Lee for this great site.

Hi, everyone!

I opened ( "Tickled Pink Knits" ) on Etsy just a couple of months ago to offer hand knitted accessories, like scarves, neckwarmers, and wrist cuffs I design and make. I simply adore playing with yarn combinations, textures, and patterns. Lately, when I'm not knitting, I'm thinking about knitting...:)

I live in NYC and work in higher ed administration.

I love being part of Etsy (and now IndiePublic)!

My other Etsy shop is devoted to fine art photography - http://floralia.etsy.com

Hello. My name is Nuni. I run a coffee shop as part of my graduation requirement in business school. When I'm not busy selling cappuccinos or presenting my business plan to evil professors, I design prints for clothes and accessories. My sister and I plan to put up a clothing store soon.

I haven't done much here, but I'm liking this site already. :)

Hi! My name is Kayce and I was invited to indiepublic after my feature on Cuteable (thanks so much Sion!). I have partnered with my mom who has always inspired creativity in me and we have created World of Whimm. We make baby quilts, bibs, and burp rags, notecards... and I design and create costumes as well (this is my first love). I'm still working out the kinks in my costume designs, but I'm slowly adding a few here and there. Each is unique as I have yet to have the discipline to make a patern. If my mom has her way, this will happen someday soon.

Anyhow, please visit me at www.worldofwhimm.etsy.com. I have really enjoyed the Etsy community for the month that I have participated and I hope to meet lots of new people on here as well!

Hello, all. My name is Elizabeth Olson, and I live in Berkeley, California. I'm a photographer who has only recently begun to consider the potential sale of my photographs - my Etsy shop is only a month or so old, and I haven't quite figured out what I want to attempt next.

My favorite subjects are architecture and urban areas, but really I shoot whatever catches my eye. I love finding abstract shapes in ordinary things and bringing them to the foreground.

I have been a consumer of indy art for a long, long time, and have the work of many indie artists on my walls and in my jewelery box.

This seems like a great community and I'm looking forward to talking to everyone more!

Hello all! I'm Traci. I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest (Seattle area of Washington State, to be more specific) with two fat cats and a Chihuahua. I started making jewelry over the past year and have found myself completely captivated by it--better than therapy, any day! (not that i need therapy...i mean, well, mostly just to cure my addiction to etsy.com and probably indiepublic pretty soon, too!) ANYWAY. Unfortunately I have to maintain a day job at the same time, but I decided to start a little business to share the fruits of my now all-consuming pass-time. I'm still really new at all this so still pretty small time but I hope to meet lots of people passionate about their crafts to learn from.

see you 'round these parts, I hope!
