When you were little, what did you want to be when you grow up?
AND
Looking back, what did you want to be that you can't believe you EVER wanted to be?

*******
There were so many things I wanted to be when I was little - from a nurse, to an author, to a veterinarian, to a model. Its great to dream isn't it?

Looking back, it was probably the idea of being a teacher that is most surprising to me now. I don't think I could even consider it - the though of getting up in front of others (especially children) to teach just makes me nervous. I much prefer not to be in public speaking of any kind. I have so much respect and admiration for people who can do this - and to help people to learn and grow, too. Wow.

I wanted to be a paleontologist. Dinos were the best thing ever back then! Well, as a biologist I didn't end up too far from that dream. ;)

I wanted to be an accountant when I was younger. Now, I'm another corporate slave working in the Information Technology field.

I wanted to be a vet but I was rubbish at science and was (am!) allergic to cats.....

I ended up in Human Resources (bet no little kid has ever dreamed of this as a career). Luckily though I have managed to escape my fate under cover of darkness.......

I wanted to be a geologists until I read the Earth Children's Series in middle school. From that point on I wanted to be an archaeologist. I even went to school for it. But somehow ended up writing and creating. Not sure how that happened. But it sure has been fun.

I wanted to be an actress. I still do but never really pushed myself to do it.

Now I am a mommy and I never as a kid thought I would be.and I never thought I would be so happy to be one either.

You can have so much fun doing plays with your kids and really getting into reading books to them... You can build a stage and maybe produce neighborhood plays too! And besides... you get to choose your own material and be the star everytime!

I wanted to be a Veterinarian, an Astronaut, or a Big Rig Cross Country Truck Driver and live on the road... I love animals with all my heart, but I don't think I could be a Vet now cuz I would probably go to jail if I got ahold of some people after seeing how they treat their helpless pets... If I were rich, I would make a rocket and still go up into space and visit the space station... if they let me. I like to travel but I have been all over the US now that a Truck driving job doesn't sound so "glamourous" now... but maybe an airline pilot?

Boy oh boy was I a wishy washy little girl. First I wanted to be the first woman president, then I wanted to be Mother Teresa, anything in the Peace Corps and finally I wanted to be a photographer for National Geographic and travel the world. I suppose there is still time to pull off some or one of those goals. Currently I manage a jewelery store and raise kids.
