It is Sunday and the beginning of another creative week!

On Sunday I always try to reflect on the past weeks progress. As an artist, or any business person, I am am usually apt to gauge my success based on sales. That is not always the best gauge. Success can be reflected in number of hits at your site. It can also be reflected in the number of comments to a blog entry. In truth, a successful business is the result of many different parts coming together in unity. There are many parts of a business that have be tended to, success comes not only from quality product but also the marketing, shipping, availability, and appeal of the product. I am currently exploring the marketing of my product. While I have many years in the brick and mortar world, I am very limited in the virtual world. I have read many articles on how the Internet has made the playing field level, and to some extent that is true. We do have to remember that while I am on person at a computer, large companies still have many computer and web experts to help guide them in choosing the correct marketing strategies. I have to find a way to market my product and keep that marketing fresh, sometimes that means on a daily basis, to keep my product in demand. In conclusion I hope that by journaling in this blog, I will help myself by being able to review ideas and evaluate patterns so that I can make good marketing decisions. I also hope that I will help others either by the information that I find or by encouraging them to record their experiences. As we continue to build communities and link together we will level the playing field. So for now I will keep on blogging and trying to make "cents" all the while making sure that anyone is welcome to join me on this wonderful journey into the cyber world.
