Lately I've been trying to branch out beyond Etsy Showcases with advertising. Yesterday I saw the Etsy Storque article about the Cooperative Ad program in Bust Magazine, which sounds like a good possibility, but also a gamble. It seems like some Etsyians have reported mixed results ( http://moourl.com/qrm1v ). I've also thought about how much blog ad space one could buy for $90 (the cost of a Bust ad). So, I've started a list of blogs that sell ads. I'll let you know if it proves to be helpful!

" And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul." 1Samuel 18:1
Our challenge today!
David was now a hero; he had just defeated Goliath and was in the presence of King Saul. What a great victory! The sad thing about this verse is it has been repeatedly twisted to justify a behavior that God calls an abomination. Much of the Bible has been mistakenly applied to justify…

A new Etsy shop -
A Lily In The Garden
It's a joint effort with my 15 year old daughter, Em. She's the wonderful artist who did the shop banner. We're still learning the actual assembly process but we'll also be carrying cards featuring her artwork in addition to jewelry and gifts. Next on the horizon for the shop is a trashion line. I'm really excited about that and can't wait to launch it. Patience, patience...

Perhaps they will harden back up and I will keep them as my fragile friends.

I've spent some time reading lots of art blogs lately. I'm loving the blogs about art-making (and often selling) of pieces made from materials meant for the trash. My new purpose has definately become art making by re-using potenial trash, leftovers, extra boxes, packaging, paper scraps etc. Just reading what other people are doing, in the name of creativity and saving the earth, gets my adrenaline pumping. The challenge is going to be making a career of it. Asking the universe for glorious luck…

Found object art jewelry!
We are trash-pickers at heart, and we love grabbing up beautiful, discarded things off the ground whenever we pass by them. And yes, there is always a bottle of hand sanitizer in a bag or purse or pocket.
Be on the lookout for scrap metal, tree-pod and paper art pendants in the next few weeks or so, along with a menagerie of knit and sewn items. We're taking a break to amp up the inventory and flesh our little creative selves out.
Best to the rest,
--Fools Paradise.
