I have always loved crafting. I like to think I have taken that love to the higher level of ART. I have just recently combined crochet and beads in what I consider the perfect marriage. The colors and forms take on lives of their own. I can forget to eat, sleep, blink, and even breath when I get involved in a new piece. Yes, I said I forget to breath. I realized this when I swallow and my throat is so dry it hurts. I have indeed found my true passion.
sorry for the delay< I havn't been on this site in a while> I hope you are doing well!
I used a copper bead and wrapped with wire, then the other side was just opening in the stiches, pretty simple they were all made about the same way with differing stich patterns.
I have to go, my little one just got sick..goodnight : )
OK--this is the second note frome me---don't think the first went through. I love your work. I left several comments. Do you create your own designs or do you use patterns? I get an idea and work it out until it is just right---sometimes I like the mistakes more than my original idea! Get your children involved by picking the colors you use or let them string the beads. It will be great sharing time. My boys are now 24 & 28. I have been a single mom since they were 3 & 7. I taught my oldest to crochet when he was little. Just recently he crocheted beaded Christmas ornaments for his first tree. He did a great job and got a better appreciation of my wire beading. My youngest has tried his hand at making beads. A slow start--hope he sticks with it.
Good luck with your work. Viviana
I love your work! I too crochet with wire among other things I saw your post and had to check your work out, I always wonder how much the same others work is to my own and ours is not at all alike. I have some copper things and also sterling silver and silver wire in my etsy shop. I know too well about the passion in creating! It is wonderful to know I am not alone in that!
Take care

Vivian, I read your question on the Tees, Tees, Tees group:
"My father had a neat slogan for the state I live in. What would be involved in production or can you give me ideas to move forward with it?"
Check out the following link and it'll give you an idea as to what you need to do with your slogan to protect yourself. Also, this site and the members are really helpful with anything at all related to t-shirts. Check it out and good luck.
I was the one who was hoping to help you with the t-shirt your father wanted to have.
If it's only a text you want on a shirt, I could help you. There are many possibilities.
You can see on my website ( www.chinouk.net ) under the head 'Webshop' how the shirts look like. If you think it looks like something you mean, you can send me a message with the text, colors, etc. that you like.
The shop I work with can't ship to the US, but I can purchase it myself and send it to you.
If it's not what I'm looking for, maybe I can try to find something else.
Just let me know.
I am doing a little cross promoting/networking & thought maybe you would like to swap links!

Haven't done much myself creatively for a while....way too much going on with the holidays and my boys.....but things have settled down and I look forward to working with my beads again....am also starting a new venture in my scrapping, but that is another story! I've only taken two more classes since yours, but I have the schedule for their store and I would like to take a few if I can work them into my schedule.

Your jewelry is amazing! I have piles of beads I could be making pretty things with, but I never get around to it :o(
